We were in Sydney for just 24hrs between international and domestic flights. The location of this hotel made it perfect for my family to see some of the Sydney's sights which are in close proximity to public transport, the city and many excursions such as the Madame Tassaud's, The Aquarium, and the National Maritime Museum to name a few. We...

We stayed with our two young grandchildren for three nights. The staff were very friendly and accommodating of our requests. Buffet breakfast is always a highlight for the kids! The location in Darling Harbour is great - so close to many child-friendly activities

The foyer and eating areas have been recently refurbished and look great. The pool area and the rooms are plain... except for the fabulous view of Darling Harbour and the city from our window. We didn't require much during our stay but when we did the service was fantastic. All the staff seemed to make an extra effort to make...

This was our favourite accomodation due to its location at Darling Harbour. The newly refurbished restaurant which incorporates an Asian Kitchen serves great satays, steamed dim sim with an excellent ginger and garlic dip. The dessert was not too sweet, which is useful if you are conscious of maintaining your figure while being a foodie. Breakfast was disappointing, though, with...

We stayed at the Novotel on Darling Harbour and absolutely loved it. We were able to walk to the places we wanted to visit and that gave us the opportunity to really see central Sydney. The hotel was excellent - the staff are friendly and efficient and we loved the restaurant, ' The Ternary'. Great food and wine. We would...

Two negatives were the window was a bit dirty and we had check out at 11 but we had a knock at 10 to clean the...

We have stayed at Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour on a few occasions. The Novotel has a walkway linking to Harbourside Shopping Centre. The location has so far been very helpful. We opt for superior queen with harbour views. The rooms are generally well maintained. We do not notice any external noise. The staff and concierge are helpful. The gym is...

I stayed at the Novotel Sydney (DarlingHarbour) January, 2017. The room was fine and was nicely appointed.......but the hotel was a bit "tired" looking in the hallways (worn, dirty carpets, etc.). Breakfast was included ($35.00 per person) and not worth the price. Eggs were cold and one had to make their own toast. Coffee not terrific as it came out...

Front desk reception staff excellent. Bar & restaurant staff polite and attentive. Close to attractions and easy walking distance to multiple restaurants & CBD. Areas to improve: Porters not so helpful. Lift floor selection logic needs a reset.

We enjoyed a great stay with an upgraded room, really good views of the fireworks on Darling Harbour, staff were friendly and efficient. The room was very clean and adequate however the passages and bathroom especially could do with refurbishing.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
