This is an Accor Hotel Group owned property and has an excellent location. The rooms however are not to the normal standard you would expect from an Accor Property unless you were staying at an Ibis Property. This is not a cheap-lace either with rooms rates around the 300AUD mark per night PLUS 50AUD parking fee if you have a...

It's very close to the Circular Quay and to the most beautiful and interesting area of The Rocks. The view from the outdoor observation deck is amazing. You can see the magnificent harbour, the Sydney Opera House and the Coathanger AKA the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The people at the reception and the concierges were always very helpful. The suite was...

Stayed for 6 nights on the final leg of our 4 weeks in Australia. Perfect location in the Rocks area. Lovely big room with balcony and wonderful view of the bridge and opera house. Comfortable bed, good sized bathroom and kitchen. The breakfast experience isn't great. Limited choice, not enough staff and small area. The 3 lifts are slow and...

Situated in an excellent location, the one bedroom apartment was spacious with fabulous views over the Harbour but fittings and furnishings are tired and the apartment, pool and public areas are in need of a major refurbishment to justify price of accommodation.

Top notch customer service.. Both Anastacia (reception) and Michael (concierge) showed genuine customer care.. not just customer service I arrived around 8am, and, of course, was not expecting the room to be ready (check in time is 2pm). However, Anastacia took my bag and let me know of the amenities that I did have access to on the 23rd floor...

We could not have been happier with this hotel. We arrived from the US first thing in the morning and we were thrilled that the room was ready. The 2 BR suite was nicely sized and comfortable for a family of four. The little kitchen was great for a couple of breakfasts items. The view is priceless. The location is...

We arrived about 9pm from UK after travelling 24hours so we were very tired but excited to see Sydney & hoped the view we had asked for was...

Travelling for business with a colleague so we booked a 2 bedroom apartment with harbor views. Stunning views of the Sydney harbor bridge and Opera house. Get spot to explore the Rocks and harbor precinct in generally. The suite was very spacious with separate lounge and kitchen and well presented albeit a little dated. Bed was comfortable and 2 bathrooms...

These apartments are a good size and well designed. Whist some of the fittings area bit dated, it all works well. The location is excellent, adjacent to the Rocks and close to the business district. I found the service very good, particularly the concierge Joe who arranged restaurants , taxis and gave some good location advice.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
