My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights as it was the cheapest place I could find around Christmas time. I definitely recommend the City Crown Motel! We are two young adults on a budget and it fulfilled ALL of our needs. Beds were comfy, there was a charming balcony with an ashtray (most places won't let you smoke),...

It was just an awful stay!!! We would have changed after having seen (and smelled!) the room but there was nothing available in Sydney so we were unfortunately forced to stay there... By entering the room an absolutely disgusting smell took our breath away!!! There was a stain of mold (at least 30cm big!) on the ceiling which was really...

Great location but a bit aged, it is a MOTEL! Deluxe rooms have terrace thats all the difference and you can watch the cigarette ash fall like snow from the balconies above. Handy to everything good range of restaurants, transport both bus an train. Tips, secure parking but limited 20 pn for this area its a bargain and top floor...

We stayed here for two nights as it was in close proximity to the entertainment centre for the P!nk concert and the hotel had a shuttle service for the airport as we were going overseas. We booked the shuttle (around $30 for 2 adults) we booked it for 6:45 am and got confirmation of this. On the day we were...

We had some minor concerns that we, as elderly UK tourists, might be out of the normal range of this Motel's clientèle, but we need not have worried. The staff were very straightforward and exceptionally helpful. The room was (of course) not large but completely adequate and the outside balcony/deck was a charming addition. Car parking was tight but available...

Looking at a couple of the bad reviews I'm wondering if those reviewers actually stayed in the same City Crown Motel as us. We have stayed in this motel on numerous occasions when my partner has been receiving treatment at St Vincent's Private Hospital in Darlinghurst. The family and their staff who run this establishment are extremely pleasant and helpful;...

Stayed here once and would stay again. Good location, quite central and close to Oxford Street and the CBD. Alot of cafes and shops within walking distance. The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. The lady at the reception was odd but lovely nonetheless. For the price you pay, this place is definitely worth it.

Stayed here over Easter. Location great reception friendly although was told on arrival I would struggle to find anything open around the motel over the Easter break..not true heaps of places open just not their cafe room nine. When room nine did open coffee was good. Found the area of surry hills a lovely place to stay.

Sydney is an expensive city. It's hard to find accommodation for two, bathroom included, for a little over 100$. This is what Crown Motel offers, but don't expect any luxuries. The rooms are clean, but worn-up already and rather small. Internet is free, although you rarely get the signal anywhere outside the reception. Still, The Crown Motel has several indisputable...

Very clean and relatively quiet budget motel. Staff are lovely and helpful. Free DVDs, A/C. We got 2 queen beds for the price of one - bed on the left was a dream (room 33). Shower squirted mostly everywhere but down, enough to do the job though. Would definitely stay here again, given the price of other central Sydney accommodation....
