This is a good place e for all ages especially if you want to be able to go out for partying but still be able to sleep well at night. Only 50 beds so easy to make friends. I always come back to the blue parrot when I stay in hostels in Sydney

I've stayed at quite a few hostels in Sydney and in my opinion Blue Parrot is my absolute favourite. As a solo traveller I find it hard to socialise in some of the bigger hostels but in BP Effie & Sasha make you feel like you're part of the family. The hostel is located in leafy Potts Point which has...

We stayed for 4 nights in a 10 bed hostel with ensuite. The staff were super friendly and the common areas were nice. The bathrooms and rooms were clean enough. There were enough lockers for each person in each room, but the lockers were of varying sizes so you might not be able to fit a large backpack or medium...

Thank you for all your nice words about our hostel Gilthoniel1! Thanks for bringing to our attention that your top bunk was wobbly, all it needs is for the bolts to be tightened which we have now attended to in order to eliminate the issue. Yes, there are a handful of guests who have been here for longer than others....

One of the best hostels we've stayed in, the atmosphere made it! Everyone socialises and is really friendly, people are there as travellers and long term workers which works really well as everyone integrates. The rooms, bathrooms and kitchen are always clean, could be a bit more modern/ updated (bathrooms in particular)- but that's if you're being really fussy!! Staff...

The hostel is clean, well mantained. The owners and the people working there are all great and very friendly. As to the hostel experience itself you have a great combination of long and short termers. Also being smaller then other hostels you get a family vibe and make great friends. People go out at night together, to the beaches during...

A nice hostel, not the tidiest one but the atmosphere, created by "returning permanent guests" makes up for it all. Just make sure to ask about the social life and plans at the reception - hostel works as a small community, so you can get to know a lot of friendly people and have a great time. And the reception...

I stay at Blue Parrot every time I'm in Sydney. The location is the best, in between Bondi and Central so it's so easy to get anywhere. The staff are super friendly and always go out of their way to help. It's very popular with solo travellers so it's easy to meet so many people and I've met such lovely...

I loved the Blue Parrot! The staff was friendly and kind, the rooms were clean, the bedding was comfy and I made friends that I'm sure to have for a lifetime. It was a wonderful experience and I can't recommend them highly enough! :)

Good hostel but it is too hot in the room, you have no aircon and the fans are just useless, same for the wifi most of the time it's not really working, the kitchen could be better as well.. On the other hand great staff, very good location, and good atmosphere, also the kitchen is always open which is a...

Thank you for your feedback, it’s always great to hear when our guests enjoy our social atmosphere, good location, and great staff! Sydney experienced an unusually hotter summer than normal so we understand if you felt the heat. All our rooms have large windows with fresh air flow and fans which usually are sufficient to cool down the room. Now...

For what this hostel costs, you really don't get much. The wifi is so slow as to be basically unusable, no air conditioning, a small kitchen with outdated appliances, cheap IKEA bunk beds, unreliable hot water in the showers, and shared power strips for device charging. There is a large group of long-term work visa guests who have their own...

Thank you for your feedback kgrote, we are happy to hear you thought that our hostel is very social 'so it's a good choice if meeting people is a big priority'. We are sorry to hear your short stay with us was not all you hoped for and would like to address some of your concerns. You communicated with us...
