We arrived in Sydney excited for a 5 night stay in the city, our first 3 nights being at this lodge. Our excitement soon turned to disappointment. Firstly the location - kings cross/Potts point is basically the red light district. Although I was told it used to be a lot worse, it's still full of strip joints, homeless people and...

Where to start. We got to reception to meet the most miserable welcome we have ever received from a guy named Glen. We got our keys and walked down to the basement for get our room number 01, we couldn't both get in the door at the same time as the room was so cramped, trying to get our luggage...

The hotel was so clean and personnel were accommodating. It has a place to cook food so if you have time to buy raw you can stock it for a week in your room fridge and cook daily. They were not so strict with the capacity of checking inn people. Good price for the experience you have.

I chose this hotel due to the picture of the outside and the pictures of the rooms don't look too bad either ; however , the room I was given was small , dark and smelt of damp . It had a view of a few drain pipes and little else. The bathroom was tiny and smelt strongly of damp....

Dear Soletripper, Thank you for writing a review of your stay here at Springfield Lodge. We're sorry that you had a loose tap and we have seen to this now. We are close to the city so most of our outlooks are fairly limited and some of our rooms are compact. We certainly have had a bit of rain this...

Had a 3 night stop here. Was a great place with great friendly staff. Located with easy walking distance in to the heart of Sydney with bars and food places just round the corner. I arrived early but was able to change and leave my bags and then come back later at check in time. Would stay again

We stayed for 9 nights in a budget basement room, great location next to shops and eating places and to Kings Cross station were you're only 1 stop to near Circular Quay (Martins Place), 2 stops from the centre and 2 stops from Bondi Junction, was so easy to get around to everywhere we needed! Hotel staff were friendly and...

This is a convenient area to Kings Cross train and as 2 mature ladies, we were ok walking most areas, especially the park and lovely shops nearby avoideding the "Seedy" area after dark. The front desk held our luggage upon arrival and suggested the hop on bus & areas to tour until check-in time. However, taking the train or walking...

Dear Bchgrl9, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The area as you mentioned has some gorgeous little boutiques and parks close by. We will store luggage upon arrival and also on day of departure as you so pleasantly discovered which means you can get the most out of your days here in beautiful Sydney. We hope...

The hotel was very good value and was ideally situated to nearby Kings Cross station and cafes and restaurants. The rooms were clean and towels were changed everyday. There were coffee and tea making facilities in the room. We were able to walk into Sydney to the Opera house in 45 minutes. The situation of the lodge was fairly near...

We used this hotel as a base for our Sydney visit. It has all the facilities you need - free wi-fi and coffee making stuff. Air conditioning worked fine. Bed was comfortable. It's situated in a louder area ofcSydney so its not a "quiet life" type hotel.

This hotel has a lovely façade and pleasant staff and even a restaurant out front. It is in a great location close to Kings Cross station, a tourist information stand and lots of restaurants. We had breakfast at the bourbon and lunch at the Potts Point Hotel and a drink at Sweethearts Roof top nightclub. Our room was small but...

Tasty morsels and great views around every corner! The local pattisserie and the terrific thai restaurant down the street are two of my favourites!
