Really nice hostel to stay, friendly and competent staff, the boss's a cool guy also. :) It's within 15 minutes of walk to all relevent sightseeing stuff. The people are lovely and create altogether a nice hostel athmosphere. Would stay again all times. Free pancakes on sunday people.

Stayed there for 2 nights. The people were lovely, no issues at all. The noise was fair. I mean, it was loud on the Friday night in the social room but I was on the floor above so it didn't bother me much (had the fan on in my room. It was HOT! Drowned out the base). The staff were...

Dingy, dirty and very small for the amount of people. The wifi doesn't work very well, the rooms don't get cleaned properly, it's full of long termers who are all clicky and the lounge area is tiny. Would never go back.

Do not stay here if over 25. The hostel is grimy and in desperate need of refurbishing. Wifi was unreliable. There was a dog odour around. We were told there was breakfast included which was a loaf of bread and a tub of butter. We were followed in by homeless men when returning in the evening. Definitely a party hostel...

I stayed at Asylum for three nights. The location is very good and central, my room had an awesome view over the Botanic Garden. But, the facilities are very dirty and run down. There is mold in all the bathrooms and the carpet in the whole hostel needs to be changed. The rooms do not have AC and the Wi-Fi...

It wasn't quite the right thing for me but if you are looking for a party hostel with very friendly staff, this might just be the place for you. The location is pretty good. Cleanliness was not great but acceptable for a hostel.

The staff does also their best to keep the place tidy, the whole hostel (bathrooms kitchen etc.) is thourougly cleaned twice dayly. Wanted to stay for 3 days and ended up staying for two weeks. I...
