After a fantastic day exploring the East Mac Ranges, we decided not to camp at Threphina Gorge as it may rain and we were nervous we could get flooded in. So we arrived at the Ross River Resort, excited to explore the gorgeous homestead and its bar and take a well earned dip in the pool. Upon arrival at the...

Dear LeaseP Firstly I would like to sincerely apologise making you feel unwelcome as that would never be our intention. We work long and hard hours to make people feel welcome at Ross River. My reaction from my perspective would of been one more of surprise, as in our off peak season we close at 430pm due to the very...

If you feel like getting away from it all, this is a great place to go, rooms are spacious, clean, excellent air con, real outback feeling with good food, swimming pool and great location. Just remember it is outback and bush so if you like city living - it will not be your dream!

It is so worth going out to see this place. So much History, plenty of photos to see in the Resort/Hotel. Staff are friendly and would help and with share information. The is also Artunga to explore. More history out here didn't have enough time in one day wished we had stayed at Ross River Resort with our van, road...

Loretto34 The East Mac Donnell Ranges are a must see and there is easily 2-3 days of things to do out this way if you have the time. Ross River is a great place to base yourself. A 4WD is required for some areas :) I am glad that you enjoyed your trip.

The first time when i went there with friends was last year in July for one night camping. After the first night we decided to extend our stay and stayed there for 6 more nights. The campground is lovely with fire pits and clean amenities. I also came back with my friends in February this year and we decided to...

The campground is lovely and with grass and the basics it is easy to want to stay longer! Sandycandysunshine, you have seen it across all the seasons and you are right to get a cabin in February as it is a bit hot for camping! We might see you back here for WOS festival this year!

What a great week you had with the Hall of Fame, and for what was probably a strike of luck, town was booked out for you and you came further afield! With a magnificent 50 minute drive to town from here, it really isn't a hardship! Thanks for the lovely comments. We are glad you enjoyed yourselves.

This is a well run camp ground and accommodation facility. The camping area is quite separate from the remainder of the accommodation and the homestead. This may or may not be a good thing depending on whether you intend of availing of the restaurant and bar facilities. The roast dinner meal was pretty good and all of the staff were...

The bar and dining room as just a short drive or 5-10 minute walk from the campground. The only time it is hard is when the river flows and the campground becomes an island for a couple of days - but rest assured this is only in our low season so very rarely does it affect any customers because we...

We stayed at Ross River Resort for one night, camping at a powered site. Our site cost $39 per night, and was a large grassy area with amazing views of the surrounding gorge. The camp had some nice campfire areas set up, wood needed to be collected prior to entering the campsite. There are no camp kitchen facilities, and there...

Great place to visit with the family not far from Alice Springs only 85 km so great short trip for a holiday or if you are a visitor and alternate place to stay for the weekend. The amenities are old and the showers are too cold in the cool weather but it is nice to have a shower and toilets....

Living in Alice springs we've been coming to Ross river for over 30 years, stayed in the campground, cabins and eaten from there restaurant. This time as we have a new baby we thought we'd bring a picnic lunch as it's easier with a baby and buy a couple of drinks. NO PICNICS, seriously you own an outback homestead, we...
