Never again , false advertising , was the worst place we have ever stayed at .. Working farm ? There were 2 cows and no site of any camels, we had our own van , no powered sites available , still charged more than any van park with power and water, no sign of owners it was run by back...

Along the way to Kings Canyon we decided to stay here for one night 40km out from the canyon. Staff very helpful and polite. Need to book ahead to get a powered site. We did not so got an unpowered site. Toilet and shower area was clean and the shower was excellent - warm water and a good pressure. Also...

We only stayed for lunch. Two camel burgers and two coffees. Whilst the camel burgers were OK, small meat pattie but just enough salad and good bun for $12 each the coffee was an expensive joke. Nearly $5 for at best filtered and at worst instant coffee. Now, I don't mind this type of coffee but not at that price....

We did a two and a half hour quad bike tour with just one other guest and the leader (Brent). I was a bit worried before hand about going on a quad bike but it was heaps of fun and we got to really travel over a lot of ground. You soon get your confidence and go a bit faster,...

For the hefty price tag the framed tents are a terrible option, particularly in the freezing cold nights of winter. We froze despite the one bar lecetric heater (supplied) running throughout the night. Breakfast was a ripper but seriously for the price this accomodation option is a rip off. Press on to Kings Canyon Resort for a far warmer, more...

Stayed with friends who booked a caravan site for us, but will never return. After hitting the caravan park and being impressed with the area and views that was the end of our pleasure. We were staying in the powered section and paying $49 for two of us per night. From the time we got there, there was an awful...

Absolutely disgusting from the horrible dirty little safari tents to the rotten septic system smell that fills the air every time someone flushes the toilet anywhere in the park area. Food is so expensive with a burnt minute steak, burnt onions 1 bit of lettuce and a slice of tomato as a main meal. Sandwich with tomato and lettuce and...

We were extremely disappointed with this bush camp, as were led to believe it was very good. We were shown to an incorrect site firstly, the sites are all unmarked, staff had great difficulty identifying them. Toilets and showers are very very basic, considering the price that they charge are the same as the resort campground up closer to Kings...

We arrived at Kings Creek station for a two night stay (wish it was longer), to be greeted by the amazing Ella who showed us to our luxury glamping at the dream time escarpment. About a 10 minute drive from the station to a remote beautiful outback location. I was absolutely blown away by the Escarpment, had a full kitchen,...

Amenities were basic. Good for families - Pool, play area, baby animals to see. Wild brumbies can be seen from lookout at back of station. Convenient to drive to Kings Canyon (30km). $49pn for powered site.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ian and Lyn Conway established Kings Creek Station in 1981. The station lies 36 kilometres from the magnificent Kings Canyon (Watarrka) and is set amongst majestic desert oaks. Kings Creek Station is a working cattle/camel station with facilities for camping, accommodation and an opportunity to experience the outback either by quad (4 wheel motorbike), helicopter or camel. Basic supplies, meals and drinks can be bought at the station shop. You could even try one of our famous Kings Creek camel burgers!!!! The station is the largest exporter of wild camels in Australia and sells camels for live export, live domestic sales and meat. 37 documentaries have been filmed at Kings Creek and the station hosted Australian Geographics' fourth expedition. In 2001 the world famous Australian Safari travelled through and stayed at the station. Kings Creek Station has also been featured on 7 Sunrise Weather hosted by Grant Denyer in 2012. ... more   less
