My husband and I and another couple spent a long weekend at Sails in the Desert recently and had such a wonderful time. From the friendly staff to the fabulous food, well organized tours and attractive surroundings, nothing was too much trouble and everything was made easy for us. We thought the indigenous training program was such an innovative and... More

Ideally located for all the tours and less than 30 mins to Ayers Rock. Friendly staff and a nice reception / dining area. The food / drink was good and pretty fair value given where you are ( given the lack of other options) It fits into the group that are linked to 3 other local hotels which means you... More

Rooms were ok on an international standard but don't expect 5 star pampering, I'm not knocking the place it is in the middle of nowhere so they do a great job with all the challenges faced. The buffet is excellent for dinner and breakfast, the bar area lunch time food is good. Some of the best ousters I have had... More

The thought of a meal in the Desert of our wonderful/amazing country was very exciting! A place where the locals & particularly Indigenous people are working & encouraged to tell the stories past down over the "years" is incredible & heart warming, Travelling out to the site was very exciting! BUT all this was completely RUINED when the commentator for... More

From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The resort is wonderful, blending in to the setting, but showing a unique desert style that is modern and comfortable. Rooms are large and well furnished, though our mattress was probably a little old and the pillow top was permanently concave which did make my back a tad... More

We enjoyed the excellent Lux Escapes 3 night package at Sails at Uluru. From collection at Connellan Airport to check out we found service excellent across the resort - from bus drivers, reception, house keeping and the excellent IlKari restaurant and Walpa Lobby Bar (both reviewed seperately.) As advised in some other reviews, you could see an argument that the... More

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. Check-in with Vineet and check-out with Sawa were seamless. They were genuinely friendly, as were most of the staff in the resort. Our room was spacious and well appointed, and we appreciated the Wifi. We have reviewed the Ilkari restaurant separately. It was great. House-keeping was our only minor let down. On... More

Comfortable resort hotel in an incredible setting. This is the first time I have travelled for just pleasure in a long time, and was worried about going to such an obvious tourist destination to be a captive... and I'm pleased to report it doesn't feel that way. I think having a car is the main reason, but the resort contributed.... More

This was one of the most enjoyable travel experiences ever. Sails is a beautiful resort in a stunning setting which is close to Uluru and Kata Tjuta. The restaurants serve amazing food and the buffet at ilkari is a gourmet experience. The highlight for us was the fantastic staff throughout the resort who made our stay extra special.
