we arrived late after our flight had major delays in Melbourne, on arrival picked up our hire car and went to the hotel and where greeted by a man at the counter (had the doors locked for security)the first thing was the bad smell of mouldy old carpet. We went up to our room and the same smell was there...

So if you pay $63 for a kitchenette apartment you expect, well walls and a door I suppose. This has other things like a bed and all that stuff. The pool is clean and the staff friendly. The furnishings are a bit dated but it's $63 you can't book a room cheaper than that um... anywhere.

I was worried about staying in Luma Luma after reading some bad reviews, so my expectations were low when we got there. I will say that it was better than I hoped, clean enough, and pretty reasonable rates. Main upside was the killer view from our balcony. The guy at the front desk tried his best to help (even though...

Booked a one-night stay on Wotif 9 weeks before a planned trip to Darwin and it was the best price. Located in a fantastic central part of Darwin, within easy walking distance to the Esplanade, waterfront and historical precinct, local sights, downtown cafes and shops. A 3-4km walk from MIndil Markets with the bus terminal virtually at the door. It...

A one night stay was enough. This hotel could be terrific if only the owner/ management would spend money on renovating the rooms. Great location - terrific top floor room with good breeze from the balcony, but while the good sized bedroom with an en suite bathroom were just ok the room looked tired run down and the ceiling fan...

I booked this accommodation and THEN read the Trip Advisor reviews. I was worried about staying at Luma Luma to such an extent that I took my own sleeping bag so I could get a decent night's sleep. The reception was friendly, the room was clean (not spotless, but clean), the facilities were a little dated but still highly functional....

We have stayed here before, and it was not bad. This time we booked and suite for 4 people we had family coming. The second room the air conditioner did not work, and you could see the cleaning staff knew about it as they left the window open. We did report it, and the staff were great, but as they...

This case is exception, last time I stayed there was OKish, I recommended it to my backpacking niece who had a less than good experience. They moved her to 3 rooms in 12 hours due to bad plumbing and awful smells, roaches and water leaks. I can understand the owner being unhappy with the work of the workmen but for...
