Nothing special. Rooms are small with dated bunk beds. Kitchen is well equipped however, as the countless signs decorating the walls will tell you, you are not allowed to cook, use the kettle or sink after 9:30pm. Not really great if you're in town for work and finish late. Over the road is a 24hr convenience store and a few...

I had an excellent stay at Minto Colonial Guest House. Clarry and his team are super easy to get along with, extremly fast in terms of communication and exceptionally friendly. Even my early morning arrival posed no problem and they made it possible for me to enter my room earlier given its availability. I would go back here any time....

On this website wifi is advertised as being free, however when we checked in we were told free wifi is only for one night stays, so we had to pay $25 for a week for wifi. This was not what we had expected. We were able to use the wifi during the day, but after 9:30pm the wifi slowed down...

I am staying here for a month as I am going overseas and need short term accommodation. Clarey the owner has been very helpful, the placed it cleaned daily and the location is not far from the city. Plenty of on street parking. I have found it very quiet, especially at night, ask for a downstairs room if you need...

I absolutely loved everything about Minto! The place was quaint, the facilities were clean, and the people-- both staff and other people staying there the same time I was-- were friendly. I even got to meet the owner's dog, Bruno. There's a bus station just around the corner, a 10 minute walk to Southbank train station and a 15 minute...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for around 3 weeks in June/July whilst we were looking for work in Brisbane. We enjoyed our stay at Minto for this time. The hostel is cleaned everyday which is great, in particular for the bathrooms and kitchen. The kitchen is the best kitchen I've seen in a hostel, with everything you need, including...

My friends and I stayed here last month. The staff were friendly and helpful giving us a couple of different room options as there were 3 of us. We had a lovely room which opens onto the varanda and the building is beautiful. The price was fair. What let's it down a little is the walls are thin and you...

I had a great stay at Minto, made an early booking and everything worked out perfectly. Smooth arrival from commuter station close by, a bit of a hike with the backpack but not too bad, good room (bunk beds) on ground floor. Noticed other reviews complaining about noice from bathroom, had the room straight across and there were no issues...

I didn't end up staying at this hotel as there was a mix-up with the bookings that was at least partly my fault but Clarry was an absolute legend finding alternative accommodation for us at a nearby similar colonial house - and this was on a very busy weekend for Brisbane due to the cricket. Thanks Clarry!
