Pretty building inside and out, quiet, clean kitchen with a huge oven, good location about 20 minutes walk to South bank. Tv lounge with dining table is good to chill in the evenings. Showers clean. Would stay here again!

We chose the Minto Colonial for its appearance. Indeed the place is attractive ith wooden floors. Traditional bath tubs, in AUgust sometimes a bit chilly. Quiet, but small rooms. There were not many guests I must admit. Easy to walk to the Southbank and city centre, and sufficient parking space

I stayed here for just over a week in June and was very pleased with everything during my stay. The hostel is reasonably priced, quiet and very clean. The manager was very friendly and helped with any problems I might have had. It's situated just outside the city centre but it is still within walking distance or you can get...

My girlfriend and I stayed at Minto for three nights. We arrived late but this was not a problem at all. The room was small but well equipped with a small fridge and tv. Only disadvantage was that the window couldn't be opened. Moreover, my girlfriend woke up at night because of the traffic noise from the busy road in...

I stayed here alone for only the weekend. It was definitely a place I'd go back to. I arrived late but was greeted without any fuss by Jen, one of the managers. She was friendly and very welcoming. There was no barrier of customer-staff member that you might find at other hotels or hostels. My room was clean, with a...

I stayed here for three days on a recent trip to Brisbane. Great management - unobtrusive but helpful when needed. Quiet and relaxed. Big kitchen for cooking. Great views of the city and close to transport to get into the city and Southbank. Bruno an exceptiionally cute dog also occassionally makes a visit. Would recommend to anyone looking for reasonable...

Very clean and a very good wifi connection! Only stayed one night but would stay again. The location is a little out of town but not too far if you hire a bike. The kitchen was really big for cooking your own meals and everyone seemed to hang out together on the terrace.

Minto was our first hostel stop at the start of our travelling trip around australia. After talking to other people who we're staying there, the agreement was it's one of the best. I'd say we picked a good first start as it's quiet and fairly relaxing. You don't often see people around but when you do everyone's friendly. Upon arrival...
