I recently stayed at Villa Vaucluse Apartments and didn't enjoy my stay. I found the manager to be grumpy. He wasn’t accommodating at all. At first I thought he might have been having a bad day, but his grumpiness continued during my stay. Australia was facing a cold front and overnight temperatures had dropped in Cairns. I went and asked...

A personalized email to confirm my reservation, together with a warm friendly welcome and a tour of the facilities set the tone for a very comfortable stay. Although full for most of my stay, the layout and small number of apartments mean that most of the time you feel like you have the complex to yourself. Just three blocks to...

Well located to the CBD, close to supermarkets and fully equipped for self catering travellers. Pool was refreshing, Brett is on the money with all the local information and if you're looking for a centrally based, functional and reasonably priced accommodation option the VV is the place.

This quiet, pretty apartment complex in central Cairns is close to the waterfront where all the restaurants, shops, the pool and the boardwalk are. Tours can be arranged by the manager. You can also walk easily to the train and bus stations. The apartment has everything you need for a stay in the city including a lovely pool in a...

I recently stayed here with a friend for a week and was very happy with the accommodation. It is around a 15min walk to the marina area and a large shopping centre is just a 10min walk where you can get all your food needs from the Coles supermarket inside. The apartment was very comfortable, with air conditioning in both...

We've read good comments about the apartment and was convinced that its worth trying during the Xmas holidays... We arrived around 5pm and received a very warm greeting by the Resident Manager. After checking us in, we were oriented with the apartments' facility (which is very rare these days). And so the privacy of our stay began! The whole place...

I recently stayed at Villa Vaucluse Apartments in Cairns with my girlfriend. The apartments are situated very close to town, main attractions, the Reef Fleet Terminal, Esplanade and shops. Despite being in the city the design of the apartments and gardens subject visitors to privacy during their stay. The management and staff are very courteous and respectful of your privacy....

Excellent value for those looking for cooking and washing facilities. The kitchen could do with some more bench space but that was not a big problem. The refrigerator was a good size and there is plenty of cupboard space. A dip in the salt water pool was welcome relief from the warm North Queensland sunshine. This complex is within easy...

Our family of four stayed for two nights before going on Great Barrier Reef live-aboard boat. There is a huge set of narrow stairs just inside the front gate. This is not easy with luggage. We had a one-bedroom unit facing the pool. The unit was very old with 1980's décor. The main reason we booked this apartment was so...
