I really enjoyed my stay at Lazy duck hostel, Very large garden, great to socialise. Dorm rooms with bathrooms very clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Brilliant wifi throughout the hostel. Would highly recommend any backpacker to stay at this hostel.

Receptionist was rude, it took them a few hours to bring our sheets and pillows to the room. The rooms were small and very cramped with only a few plug sockets, the floors were dirty, there was an on-suite which was disgusting, floor full of hairs, dirty water and things all over. The door was left open all the time,...

I really enjoyed my stay at lazy duck. Wifi coverage is really good and fast, outside area is beautiful (garden, pool, barbecue) . We had an amazing movie night in their huge cinema room (proper cinema seats, projector, surrounding sound system) and they also organize a barbecue night every Thursday which is really funny. Rooms are really basic but when you go there you...

We arrived in cairns early before heading up to cape tribulation, so in a bid to save money (we are backpackers on a budget) we booked this hostel as it was one of the cheapest we could find. The receptionist and other people in this hostel were all very nice and inviting. Personally I couldn't have stayed here for more...

If you are looking for a serious budget lodging accommodation, then this is the place to go. However, be well aware of what you are paying for. The beds felt dirty and unsanitary, and the entire place in general felt run down. There was hardly ever an attendant at the front desk which was very irritating and showed poor customer...

Very nice and calm atmosphere. Not noisy, nice swimming pool. 1 bathroom to share per bedroom. Expected worse after reading the reviews. Reception is ok. No fake bla bla like the other hostels. Chill, well located. Didn't use the kitchen tho.

Basic but great hostel. Very chilled out vibes, great staff and good location made my stay very enjoyable. Moved in after staying at Gilligan's as I started working and this is the perfect hostel to stay at if you start work early in the morning and need a decent night's sleep. No noise after 11 made it very easy for...
