The biggest issue facing anyone trying to work out where to stay is what is really good value for a decent place to stay. Too many properties are excessively priced for what they offer. Reef Palms is definitely NOT one of these. Located pretty much on a direct line from airport to city central a taxi cost me $15 each...

We stayed at the Reef Palms on three different occasions during our three weeks in Queensland in late March/early April 2016. It was our go-to hotel in Cairns, whilst traveling to Kuranda, the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree. The Reef Palms was very welcoming, and had extremely comfy rooms. We had the huge spa tub, but alas, too warm...

We stayed in Cairns for 3 nights. Hotel is clean and comfortable. It is a bit of a way to the centre of the city but we knew that before we arrived. Staff were very helpful regarding tours. We booked 2 tours and both were absolutely excellent. Jeff gave us his opinion and did not pressure us at all into...

Jeff and Lynne love to help guests select tours to suit their needs, as they are both new to Cairns themselves, they have fallen in love with Cairns and much as we have! Thank you for writing, we hope you remember the Cairns region for may years to come

Located a bit outside the city centre. Good parking facilities. The rooms (2) based on self containing were ok, however, the kitchen utensils were sparse, a cheap, uneven frying pan, the knives were hardly usable and definitely needed a sharpening. During our stay, the garbage bin was not emptied and the bed was not made up due to a laptop...

Sorry to hear you felt your stay with us was average, unfortunately our housekeepers are advised not to move personal possessions in studios to make beds however everyone's comments are taken on board.

We were at Reef Palms for 3 nights. It is just a couple blocks from the ocean and the Esplanade walkway into town. The room was comfortable and spacious with a balcony to sit at. Jeff, the new manager, really made our stay special. He was very friendly and helpful. He gave helpful, honest input about available tours and could...

We stayed here for 3 nights in a triple studio. The motel was located in North Cairns, it takes around 30 minutes to walk to central Cairns, taxi are affordable. Free transport to central and airport are provided at certain timeslot throughout the day. Our room was very clean, large and well equipped, we cooked dinner for 2 nights and...

Lovely apartment and great staff. Sadly staffing problems when we were there and we did our own housekeeping. However, this was not the fault of the management who did all they could. Trips were booked at reception. Wifi available. Nice breakfasts. Transport to town and airport all free. Would gladly stay here again.

Very comfortable stay. Rooms are large and very clean. We were asked every day if we wanted our room made up or if we needed anything. Staff were very friendly. The managers booked our tours knowing which were the best for us. They dropped us off to the marina and city centre when needed and provided great advice on places...

What's not to love?? Reef Palms is close to the airport, a 20 minute walk along the water to town (Esplanade area with Lagoon public pool), there's a pool, the wifi is great, it's very clean, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, they have a store with beer, wine, food etc. in house and most of all the staff are...

Sample this conversation: "Hi, this is Karan. I have a reservation with you for 3 nights. I understand you are full; however, could you possibly accommodate an early check-in" "We are pretty full at the moment, whats your name" "Karan" "Charlone?" "Here is my reservation slip" "Wow, don't you just throw that print out on my face like that!" "Just...

I am sorry you felt your experience was less than satisfying. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate reservations arriving so early in the morning expecting early check in. Guests are not required to check out until 10am and then our housekeeping staff must go through and prepare the studios for new guests which is why our check in time is 2pm not...
