We stayed here as a group of 3 for 5 nights, and honestly, staying in this hostel was the best decision we could have made. From the very first moments, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and that they genuinely cared about our Port Douglas experience. They reshuffled our dorm reservations so we could have a private room together,...

Port Douglas was incredibly hot and humid, so after one night camping we gave in and checked in here. We got a huge ensuite room with TV, air-conditioning, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities at a very reasonable price. Moreover the pool was lovely, kitchen facilities were good and there were loads of dvds to borrow. The icing on the...

It looks like this was once a motel, with some carports now converted to sweet little nooks to chill in. (Think nicely painted and full of nice furniture, not a garage.) But some of the carports remain and being able to park my car a few metres from my dorm was so awesome! The room was clean and had cupboard...

Hi Annabella, Thanks for your review, I know the washing line is in the shade, I have only recently acquired the property so I will look into relocating the line but given the large maleulca trees I am going to have issues with shade everywhere. I also appreciate your comments on the smokers table, that too is something i will...

I stayed here for 5 nights in the quietest and supposedly wettest month of the year. I guess I must have brought the dry weather and sunshine from the UK because it only ever rained in the evenings the whole time I was here (apparently it rained everyday in Cairns!)!! In terms of price, quality and service, this place is...

For the price, this place cannot be beat! Clean and comfortable, with great a/c. The man behind the front desk held my shuttle bus when my tour was late (if he hadn't told them where I was, I would have had no way back to Cairns that day except a $$$$$ taxi). And there are thousands of flying foxes out...

Had a very good experience at coral beach lodge! Exceptionally good service, the staff gave us many helpful tips to our daintree rainforrest trip as well as the city. The lodges vere nice and within a walking distance from sentrum, free parking and a nice pool outide. Very good value for money, recommend everyone to stay here!

I stayed here for two nights with my brother in Dec 2016. We were sharing a 4 bed dorm with two others, one of whom we never met as she woke early to go to work - sometimes waking us up - and after that we missed her as we were out on day trips. Even though we didn't meet...

I stayed here with a friend for about a week when visiting Port Douglas. It was a great couple of days. The service was so good - Tom is such a hospitable fellow, so friendly and helpful. The room was great - huge with a small outdoors area with table and chairs. The kitchen was great and we cooked every...
