The Plantation Resort probably isn't the "fanciest" hotel in Port Douglas, but we had a really great stay there in September. With two couples traveling together, it was ideal because we each had our own bedroom and bathroom, plus laundry facilities right in the room (awesome for drying your beach gear!) and a kitchen which allowed us to do some... We are a family of 4 adults. We had a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment for 8 days. What a fantastic place. The apartment was spacious, clean and so well equipped. The grounds were beautiful and we loved the pool/bar area and tennis court. The food and cocktails were great. The hosts were amazing. So friendly and helpful. This was such... More

Rather a strange review as I did like the place and will probably stay again, but did have some problems. This property is not just vacationers. There are many apartments that are permanent residents. We were put in an 2 bedroom in a section with several residents. Unfortunately next door was a very young group who were night owls and... We stayed at the resort for 13 nights and had an amazing time. Not many resorts offer you a 15 metre swimming pool you have to yourself 90% of the time with super friendly staff. The cafe /bar offers delightful food at a very reasonable price and the generous pour of any wine was greatly appreciated.Just need to remember it's closed Mon/Tues... From the moment we drove into the Plantation Resort, we knew that we were going to have a lovely stay. The lush surroundings were a great setting for the different sized accommodation units and the the faint sound of the waterfall in the pool area was tempting us to kick back, relax and dive straight into the gorgeous pool. We... More

We stayed that the resort in October 2013. We all loved it very very much. The resort is nothing fancy, but offered everything we needed to have an excellent and confortable stay. The apartments were large and well equipped. The kids LOVED the pool, and we loved that we could have lunch/dinner/drinks by the pool while we watch them play.... More

The apartment we stayed in has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The bedrooms were large and each one had a huge bed and and en-suite bathroom, perfect for two couples or as in our case parents plus one teenager. We found the the beds comfortable. The showers are ok and everything was clean in the bathrooms. The kitchen is dated... More

We had a fabulous three week stay at The Plantation resort. Having spent weeks in hotel rooms it was great to have all the facilities of a home so we could cook in the unit and eat dinner off our laps if we wanted to, but also to have the convenience of a really excellent restaurant right on our doorstep....
