We stayed for five days and found Hibiscus to suit our purposes well enough. The location cannot be faulted as it is a (very) short walk to the beach, marina and main shops. Staff were very friendly and full of genuinely helpful tips about the local sights and activities. Breakfast was basic but fresh, tasty and they had an espresso...

My Mum and I made a sporadic decision to stay a night in Port Douglas at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. We came across this beautiful place just by driving around the area and were drawn to the Balinese style buildings and the lovely pool/landscape of the outdoor area. We were warmly greeted by the lovely Jay who was not...

We spent a week at Hibiscus and couldn't have asked for more. We took a package with inclusions like welcome champas, two massages and dinner at a local restaurant. Staff were polite and very welcoming. The decor was a little old but the room was comfortable with a nice bed. Very close to Mocrossan Street, the wharf, supermarket and beach....

Could be done so much better. Breakfast is a farce, set up and food shortage comical, there's a Coles down the road! Make sure you bring your own toilet paper, be prepared to take your own bins out and use the same towels for the whole stay...

Lovely Balinese style resort in a fabulous location 5 mins walk to beach, main eatery strip and estuary. Had a discount deal that included excellent continental breakfast served poolside and spa treatment that was fantastic. Only downside was ground floor spa room a bit dark. Definitely ask for level 1 or 2 1 bed spa room as layout spacious and...

For the price and location, this place was really good. It was super quiet even being so close to town, and the pool areas were lovely. Would definitely stay again but would book a room not directly facing the breakfast area as it was quite noisy early. Our balcony faced a brick wall and couldn't fit two people on, so...

Excellent location, with just a short walk to the heart of Port Douglas, with the beach and wharf also just a short walk. Our package contained a number of inclusions - a continental breakfast daily, 2 x 30 minute massages, sunset cruise, complimentary dinner and a few other restaurant discounts, so it represented excellent value for money. The complex itself...

If your looking for a boutique resort within easy walking distance to the hub of Port Douglas, then this is the resort for you. Beautiful tropical gardens & no fuss atmosphere. Beautifully appointed self contained units with large balconies so you can eat in or just enjoy drinks over looking the pools or gardens. The only negative about our unit...

We have just returned from a 5 day stay at Hibiscus and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We had a one bedroom suite on the upper level with a large balcony overlooking the pool area. The decor included timber shutters between rooms and timber furniture which gave the feeling of being in a Balinesian resort. The gardens and pool areas...

Now named Hibiscus Resort and Spa. Good location for easy walking to beautiful beach, shops and Marina. Resort is set around picturesque leafy wooden pathways and two inviting pools .There is a Spa attached for massages etc. There is no restaurant on site but a continental breakfast is served at communal covered tables next to the larger pool. Rather nice...
