My husband and I recently spent 3 nights at Frangipani. From booking to our final farewells, everything was a breeze. The owners, Leona and Bob have a beautiful home that is wonderfully and thoughtfully appointed tucked away from the main drag of Port Douglas. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable with little touches that showed how much...

Beautiful setting in a quiet location about 3 kilometres out of the town. The welcome was all we could have hoped for and our room was spacious with a large balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was taken by the pool, lots of local fruit, yoghurts and home made breads. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful and not only suggested places...

We spent an enchanting six nights at Frangipani while we exploring Port Douglas and the Great Barrier Reef. It was an excellent base to drive to area points of interest. Frangipani is a few minutes walk to the beautiful Four Mile Beach. Unfortunately, we were there during late-Summer when it was still dangerous to go in the ocean, except in...

Our two night stay at this hideaway bed and breakfast, right at the end of an exclusive neighbourhood cul-de-sac, was the perfect way to clean up and recharge after a dusty two week Australian outback and rainforest 4WD trip. Our middle room could match any of the world's best hotel rooms, perfectly clean, large, comfortable and silent, with only palm...

Leona and Bob were the perfect hosts, and their stunning home was the perfect tropical retreat! Our room (the Blue Room) was immaculately clean, with a king size bed and a balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast each morning was delicious - especially the homemade bread! Location was perfect - 2 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute drive from the...

Leona and Bob started our vacation in Australia with the perfect touch of hospitality, comfort and helpful advice. Leona recommended (and booked) excellent local tours to the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest as well as superb choices for dinner. Leona and Bob's local knowledge was invaluable, for example she recommended a visit to Hoglund Art Gallery with lunch at...

We just had 3 wonderful nights at the Frangipani B&B in Port Douglas and it was so lovely. Leona (Bob was out of town) couldn't do enough to help us and booked snorkeling, recommended dinner options and even did one lot of clothes washing for us! Breakfast was always lovely and the ability to use the downstairs lounge overlooking the...

If you are after something a little different, but with all the comforts of home, then the Frangipani may be just the place that you are looking for. Situated in the quieter, suburban area of Port Douglas, it's the personal touches provided by hosts Leona and Bob that set this property apart from the average. The breakfast provided by the...

We spent 3 nights at the Frangipani bed and breakfast in April. From the moment we arrived Leona and Bob were amazing hosts. Bob takes you on a quick tour of the city to get you oriented. They provide great recommendations of how to spend your days and were happy to book our tours and make reservations at restaurants for...

My friend and I visited Frangipani for three nights. Bob and Leona are great hosts and they give you the feeling you are visiting friends. Every morning you eat breakfast with the other guests on a round table and you can enjoy the fantastic stories of Bob, wich are sometimes a bit bombastic but we loved it. We met a...
