Great location, the room was fabulous plenty of room to move around, great decor. Very comfy bed and pillows. Loved the Kevin Murphy bathroom products. Parking on site. Easy walk to plenty of restaurants etc. The breakfast buffet was delicious with so many choices. We also went to the dinner buffet, plenty of seafood and lots of other choices. Staff in all areas were very professional
QT excels at creating a genuine sense of a getaway experience. It is more than just a hotel room - the service, atmosphere and general inclusions are second to none. QT Gold Coast is one of our favourite locations of this hotel brand (and we've stayed at a lot of them). So often you go to a hotel and they take several hundred dollars per night for a shoebox and leave you to it. That's not the case with QT. From a welcome drink on arrival, to little notes peppered throughout the room, or just the interactions with staff in passing - you'll feel cared about, not just a wallet. We did the Lovers Package this time and it was nothing short of incredible - the perfect couples getaway. Breakfast in bed, a scavenger hunt within the beautiful suite and a couples massage were all included in a rate that you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere. Thanks for reminding us exactly why we love this brand and for making it evident that standards have not slipped.…
After our stay this weekend we must say that this place is absolutely amazing !! love this hotel from the funky and decor to the great customer service the beautiful pool and jacuzzi and the great atmosphere all around this hotel has a great vibe!! location was great we walked everywhere and everything is pretty close by. restaurant on site Yamagen that we previously visited was absolutely delicious Asian fusion probably one of the best on the coast highly recommend it . breakfast buffet had lots of variety with some yami food fresh juice and very nice coffee .. friendly stuff and super clean and funky room with beautiful ocean view Overall we had a great time highly recommend this beautiful hotel
Good hotel, check in was easy, rooms clean and not dated. Bathroom was nice. Ideal if you don't have kids or don't want to be at a hotel with lots of kids/ families. Hotel bar was really good too. Would stay again
Loved our stay at qt gold coast. Would recommend this hotel. It rained outside but we had no need to go anywhere, great views and a beautiful restaurant. Wouldn't hesitate to come back. Friendly staff and a funky bar on Friday night.
Rooms & amenities were lovely, service & staff were great, day spa was very nice. Yamagen restaurant was amazing! Noise from the giant A/C unit on the ground floor was very loud even on the 12th floor all throughout the night. The pillows are gigantic and hard as a rock! Everyone I spoke to complained about the pillows. Staff provided me with two softer & smaller (i.e. normal) pillows. Great location, close to everything, cute & modern spacious decor, good amenities. Recommend staying on a very high floor and asking for soft pillows when booking.
Absolutely enjoyed my stay, great service, great amenities, wonderful friendly staff 😀 room was comfortable 👌 had everything you needed 😁relaxing 👍bar at the swimming pool 😍the views outstanding 😀
What an amazing transformation the former Gold Coast International has had. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, beach view from the room and enjoyed the sunrises. The toiletries were super luxurious and breakfast buffet amazing.
Knock knock knock..... I turn in my bed, look at the clock through bleary eyes after a late night....it's almost 8am Saturday morning, the sunlight just breaking through the curtains. Maybe I was dreaming...I close my eyes again. Knock knock knock...no, I'm not - it must be an emergency for someone to be banging at my door at 8am on a Saturday. I crawl out of bed, throw some clothes on, and stumble to the door. "Good morning, would you like your room serviced?" "I'm sorry?" I reply. "Can I service your room now?" "Ummm no, it's 8 am on Saturday, I don't want my room serviced now". This is my lasting memory of QT Gold Coast. Sure, the renovated room was comfortable, the bathroom functional, if quite small, and the location convenient (close to beach and the light rail, and a couple of blocks from the centre of Surfers), and the Japanese restaurant (Yamagen) inside the hotel served delicious food and an amazing range of Japanese whiskeys - but all I can remember is being woken early on a Saturday morning to see if fresh towels were needed. Needless to say, after my refusal, the room remained unserviced the entire day. Would I stay there again? Yes, probably - but I would make sure to hang the Do Not Disturb sign on the door before going to sleep! …
To say I was excited to stay at the QT on the Gold Coast was an understatement. No need to elaborate, I’m a working mum so you get it right? Airport Experience = great Taxi Experience = great Yes, we’re off to a good start! Reception, ascetically pleasing and greeting was friendly, so now down to the business of checking in. My female business colleague took the lead whilst I answered some emails via my phone. Mid email I heard a maniacal giggle and the assumption spewing forth from her chops that we were lovers with the statement and I quote ”oh I thought you were sharing a bed”. Now at this stage “Karen” remained firmly tethered behind my professional appearance, but she was ready....any minute now. We spoke to the Duty Manager and offered up our humble check in experience, she was professional and apologetic and assured us some retraining would occur. Ok Karen all is forgiven, back in the box you go GF, let’s shake that off and go up to our “separate rooms”: The room- well laid out, cute design and many tempting ammenities ( yup code for really good mini bar!) The bathroom - great lightning for makeup and Dyson appliances, oh yes the blow dryer is good!! After a full day of peopling at the inaugural conference all I needed was a hot shower and a good nights kip, I headed back upstairs to: The shower - throwing off the days wear I entered the sacred she temple, turned on the hot water (which I might add took some time without glasses). One minute: My Brain - logic loading.......," it’s cold and it may take time to heat the pipes, yes the pipes, thats it". Two minutes: My Brain - “where is that breeze coming from, also where is the hot water I was promised!?! Two minutes and 10 seconds: My Brain - ok resistance is futile we’re going to have to go in! Two minutes 10.5 seconds: My brain: @&$;:-ggggggggg holy mother of all that is holy! Had they shipped this water direct from the wintery depths of the Arctic Ocean, or was this the customary greeting for all conference goers at the QT? A small but important mental note here, that to this day my opinion on this particular matter remains firmly in the latter. Two minutes 13.7 seconds: we’re done here! Now I know people pay good money for Ice baths, but I was just not ready, not ready I tell you! Whilst we’re on the bathroom section of this review I’d like to also point out that, on several occasions during my stay the house keeping team either ran out of towels and face cloths or forgot to leave them, either way drying the "mumbod" with a hand towel was like vacuming the floor with a straw! Crawling into bed now a bedraggled frost bitten mess I assembled my pillows, wait pillows?!? These bad boys (all four of them) could only be described as nothing short of medieval torture devices, conjured up by none other than M Night Shymamlan. Sleep - Ok granted there was a bit of a storm, however trying to sleep with the prospect of the windows and doors actually coming of at the hinges and plummeting to their untimely death was well, challenging to say the least. I’m not joking, this was not some light banging people, this was nothing short of the four horseman of the apocalypse tap dancing on my forehead kind of loud! So I did what any self respecting professional does, whack in my AirPods and try and to shut out the impending second coming of Christ for a few hours. A few moment's later.....oh good it's morning, where today's specials include Up too early and lack of patience, but innovation come from sleep deprivation right? Enough about my tourture chamber (I mean bed) and moving swiftly onto: The food - Made very little impression at all, apart from my strong sense that there should have been something……anything! For the reluctant vegan (you can all stop with the eye rolling now, I have food allergies) this was not a pleasant experience. Oh and an FYI, guacamole and some lettuce don’t count as a vegan menu. Room Service - rife with dishes that are dead on arrival, do not recommend. 5 days, 5 DAYS I endured, 5 days of no sleep, sometimes towels and sometimes hot water, and very little in the way of nutritious food. The best bit is my company paid $300 a night for this esteemed privilege. I may need therapy after this stay…. Thanks QT - I’ll be seeing myself out.…
