Overall a wonderful place to stay with lovely swimming pools and great food. Friendly, attentive staff ensured we were looked after. The room we stayed in was quite old fashioned and dark but for what we paid, it was what we expected.

The accommodation in the hotel room was okay, however, the light in the bathroom did not work, and the bath itself could only be used by children. The meals in the Maheno and Seabelle restaurants were overpriced. Unless you hjad your own 4 wheel drive, I think that more than 3 days here coulde become boring.

A great destination for those who love the outdoors and nature . Lots of activities for all. Weather is very volatile but you just need to go for it and do whatever you plan and hope for the best. Be prepared for island prices for food and drinks.

We travelled with our 5 yo son. Had a great family holiday. But some activities limited to QLD school holiday dates only. Some things can be expensive so plan carefully. In all though a fun and relaxing holiday.

We had a fantastic time at The island & the resort. Kids loved their loft bedroom. The island facilities were good, Loved the spa & the lagoon style pool. The views from the Banksia villa deck were very nice, looking into the forest and windy roads.

We found the resort to be quite relaxing, altho perhaps we were staying in a quite period in early April. We stayed in a ground floor 'Resort Hotel Room', which was a largish room, with a comfortable king bed, large spa-bath bathroom, and a nice terrace. Our terrace was unfenced so we had a lovely, wide, uninterrupted view of the...

We stayed for 3 nights and had a very nice time - went on a day tour, tried out 4 different restaurants/bars for food and drink, enjoyed beach walks and for the first time gave paddle-boarding a go. We saw a dingo and ate crocodile, kangaroo and emu.
