My wife and I spent 3 days and nights at the Green Island Resort on the Great Barrier Reef near Cairns. It is on a very small island (the only sand island with a rain forest on the GBR), and is principally a day trip destination for diving and snorkeling activities. The accommodations for the overnight guests, who were relatively... More

Our family had a good day here. The waiter service attitude and professionalism left a good impression on me. Myphone fell into the sea, but luckily finded back, the waiter also help me to take some rice to absorb moisture, although it not worked, but still very thank them! The island's activities are very interesting, especially diving to see coral... More

I thought I would be bored being on an island for 7 nights but had the best family holiday ever. Staff from reception, restaurant, masseuse, housekeeping to marine life educators were all amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of turtles and fish to swim/snorkel with everyday and the restaurant and night nature walks kept us busy at night.... More

We wanted to relax and decide to spend one week in the resort, it might be a little bit too long. We try everything on the restaurant menu and beside the Hotel restaurant (that is good) there is no alternative, the food for daily visitor being barely eatable. We came there during the week before the chinese new year and... More

A western barista from your Alcoholic Bar was extremely arrogant and rude. We just wanted to grab some coffee when we arrived the island while it was raining. He seemed grumpy and annoyed when I talked to him at the bar. I waited there for a while just trying to order some coffee, but he was so busy to make... More

This was a special trip for me, I used to work on this island 25 years ago. So to visit with my family was really fantastic. The overnight stay in the resort was 1st class, the rooms were excellent quality, cool, clean. The resort had free Wifi 😃. The food in the evening restaurant was absolutely delicious. The snorkelling was... More

My partner and I are Cairns locals and sometimes just need a getaway! This is definitely a place to do that! Worth every dollar spent for just one night. We enjoyed the five star resort and all of the services provided throughout the day and night. During the day we enjoyed snorkelling in the beautiful water and also had a... More

Green Island Resort is an ambiguous experience. On one side it is a marvelous place from a nature and location point of view and the “Dream Resort Experience” you get from their homepage. On the other side as a guest you get to see mass tourism from the Dark Side when Hundreds of Day guest hordes invade the island between... More

My husband and I have just returned from 5 nights on Green island, The resort is lovely, we stayed in a king suite, the room was spacious with its own balcony overlooking the pool. My husband and I spent a glorious long weekend in an Island Suite for the Australia Day holiday. Our room exceeded our expectations and the balcony in the rainforest was a welcome retreat for writing postcards away from the noise of the TV. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our accommodation included many... More
