Eos by SkyCity is frequently celebrated for its impeccable service and prime location within arm's reach of Adelaide's attractions, offering guests scenic river views. The luxurious rooms, with their comfort and vistas, are well-regarded, although some visitors mention minor design flaws.
Despite the praise for clean facilities and a relaxing ambiance, guests have called out the noise levels and a sometimes busy atmosphere. While the spa and amenities are popular, particularly with casino visitors, the value proposition is often questioned due to the pricey room service and additional fees.

Whilst many hotels associated with casinos are glitzy and over the top, Eos by SkyCity presents with an air of sophistication, chic modernism and restraint.
Upon arrival you are greeted with a smile, warmth and the standard of presentation is set by the immaculately groomed and articulate team members.
Foyers, spaces and communal zones are more representative of gallery spaces than that of a hotel.
Opulence and luxury is displayed from the time you enter your room/suite and this flows through to Sol (roof top bar and restaurant).
The team at all customer service touch points are warm, friendly, engaging and professional and whilst there may be a few teething issues typical of any new hotel openings these are resolved immediately when brought to attention. Eos by SkyCity will provide an exceptional and memorable experience

I stayed at Eos by Sky City in Adelaide, Australia and will say they truly have outdone themselves.
This hotel is pure luxury! From the friendly , welcoming staff to the beautifully appointed rooms, it truly is something special. The rooms feature Nespresso coffee machines, smart HD TV's where you can chrome cast from your own device, volume controls even in the bathroom for the TV.
You can spoil yourself even more and select your favourite pillow from their pillow menu. Or have an Eos butler unpack your bags on arrival. You can also take advantage of their in-room hair and makeup stylists or have your very own bespoke mixologist create a chosen cocktail in you room! Another great addition is having your very own personal trainer push you to your limits.
You also have access to the beautiful pool, gym and Eos Spa and Wellness centre. As well as the Casino downstairs or the equally amazing Sol Bar and Restaurant. (I will review this separately).
The room itself (we were in the Oasis Suite) offered stunning views of the city. Walking in you felt the openness of the large space, separated into three areas (lounge, bathroom and bedroom), the lounge room was large with comfortable sofa, TV, and mini bar.
The bathroom was divine! Featuring a large bath, huge shower with a choice of shower heads to use and toilet. It truly defines luxury. You also have the gorgeous Grown Alchemist products to use. The bathroom also has a blowdryer and hair straightener.
The bedroom was also large with a lot of storage space for your clothes and bags. The bed was amazing and was not only huge but offered a great night sleep. From the bedroom you also had access to an outdoor balcony area to get some fresh air and take in the views.
Adelaide has been desperate for a new hotel that could offer true five star luxury and it now has one. It is the sort of hotel you would want to travel to just experience it for itself.
I will definitely be staying there again (and I even live here)
This is a must do!

This is my second stay at EOS. It is expensive in relation to other hotels in Adelaide CBD, but as I was traveling on my own, I liked the location and facilities.
It is a lovely modern hotel with a great outlook, especially if you choose a room with a river view.
The location to the river, parks, casino, restaurants and Adelaide Oval is great.
Staff at check in were very friendly and helpful. As was Concierge.
My reasons for not giving a higher rating are:
I booked a 1 hour massage and realised once the girl had left the room that it had only been 45 minutes. The massage also was not that great so I didn't bother chasing her up. However, the day spa environment is lovely. The therapists are possibly a little pretentious and I don't know why.
When I was packing up to leave, I was aware of the 11am check out time (although this is not advised the night prior or during my stay). I was literally zipping up my suitcase at 11.10am and reception called to let me know I should have checked out as it was past 11am. By 10 minutes! Considering that during my stay my room was cleaned at around 4pm each day, and I was leaving on a Monday, I didn't think a call at 11.10am was warranted.
I was downstairs at reception at 11.14am. Unfortunately, that phone call kind of ruins the whole experience.
I did relay this information to the hotel via the survey they sent out, however did not receive any acknowledgement.
I would stay here again but also suggest checking the other comparable hotels for cost and value for money.

Dear PlacesIVisit, Thank you kindly for taking the time to share your experience following your recent stay with us at Eos, it was a pleasure to host you for the second time. I was delighted to read that you enjoyed our luxuriously appointed guest rooms, and vibrant Festival precinct, located on the banks of the River Torrens. I was also truly touch that our Front Desk & Concierge teams were able to welcome you, and that their distinctive hospitality was a highlight of your overall experience. I was extremely disheartened with regards to your comments surrounding your experience at Eos Spa + Wellness, and can assure you this was not taken lightly. Our Spa + Wellness team have received extremely positive feedback to date, so I was very shocked and surprised to hear of your underwhelming experience. I have discussed with the team, who are sincerely apologetic for your disappointing experience. I was not able to locate your reservation to determine if we were able to resolve this onsite for you, but please reach out to me directly if you would like to discuss this further. To provide clarification to your comments surrounding check-out, our team of luxury experts want to ensure a seamless arrival and departure for our guests, and as such we provide a courtesy call to all guests due to depart after our check-out time, to see if they require any assistance on their way to depart. I can assure you the intention is not to make you feel rushed, or ruin your experience, though I am sorry this was the result. Thank you once again for taking the time to provide your feedback, and on behalf of the entire team here, I do hope we can welcome you back again to Eos. Warm regards Jodi Brown General Manager

We booked a two bedroom suite upon arrival everything seemed good staff gave us a warm welcome and were super friendly. However when we went to the room the two bedroom suite is not really a suite it is two allure rooms with a main door connecting the two (not even inter room connecting). The weird thing is they still didn’t work out how to set these rooms up properly, we got to the room and main door was open with two separate keys required to enter the rooms, they didn’t even have door stops to keep the rooms open to have the feeling of one big room. Key hole cover was missing from room. Now the worst thing that happened and the main reason for such a low rating was we were out for the day came back and the main door was wide open and the two rooms were unlocked... thankfully nothing was taken we decided to change to two separate rooms to avoid it happening again. The room itself was very large (probably too big) quite minimalist in style, the complimentary movies was a great feature. In room service was average I ordered a feather pillow after 45mins the pillow arrived but wasn’t feather and couldn’t be bothered following up again. Next day ordered coffee which never came called them to cancel it as had to leave...Called in room dining and reception would answer and transfer and get disconnected. Clearly a few comms issues that need to be looked at. Don’t get your hopes up on the complimentary mini bar, it is just still water a chocolate and some nuts, be careful not to take other items as you will be charged. Breakfast was good however there were about 10 staff members on and they were all running around like headless chooks, better management and zoning of staff is needed and table numbering should be implemented as the stuff don’t know where to take the orders and kept going to wrong tables. Shout out to the barista great coffees each day! To summarise great attitude from staff but better training, communication and management needed to ensure operations are run smoothly. Huge potential hopefully it improves on next visit.

Good afternoon mmddkk, Firstly, I wanted to thank you for providing feedback following your stay with us. As already noted on your travel companion's review, I can assure you that guest experience is at the very heart of Eos and as such, we were extremely disappointed to hear that your stay didn’t meet yours or our expectations. I have since had discussions with the Front Office and Sol Teams regarding your comments, and we do take on board your feedback. I can assure you that there has certainly been significant follow up and your comments were not taken lightly. With regards to the main door being open upon your return - I can confirm that the housekeeping team unfortunately thought that the interior doors were locked, and left the main door open following their turndown service. The team are sincerely apologetic for their error. We also appreciate the misunderstanding around the multi-room suite in which you both stayed. You will be pleased to hear that we have adjusted our room descriptions on the Eos website to ensure the room configuration aligns to the description, as I can appreciate that it wasn't clear enough. I would like to confirm that the minibar is complimentary for a selection of artisan and local products, along with bottled water. Very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the friendly staff and coffee! We acknowledge all other comments you have mentioned, and given the compensation which was worked through with the team during your stay, we feel that we came to a fair and reasonable outcome prior to you departing Eos. Please accept our sincerest apologies for your underwhelming experience once again and we do hope to have the opportunity to show you that your experience is not the norm. We pride ourselves on offering distinctive hospitality and would be thrilled to have the opportunity to show you and your friends that once again in the future. On behalf of the Eos team, thank you again for the feedback and we hope you have a very Happy New Year. Warmest regards, Jodi Brown General Manager

Whilst this new hotel is fine it is certainly not somewhere I feel I would rush to return. Its location on the river is great with the nearby tram providing transport to Botanic Gdns, Central Market or all the way to beach side Glenelg.
The staff are very friendly however lacking the polish of other luxury hotels I have stayed in. Their information skills need to be improved as I mentioned at check in & also to a concierge as I was departing towards dinner that we were to dine at The Guardsman, a restaurant they advertise online & in room. At no point did either staff member take the opportunity to inform me this restaurant shuts at 3pm!! What I would've expected from a hotel positioning itself into the 5 STAR category was the information of its opening hours & some alternative options for our evenings meal. I did offer feedback about the booking conditions at check out & the young man I spoke with was very polite & respectful to what I was saying.
The biggest disappointment for me was the uninspiring decor. You can tell that this hotel has had some serious money spent on it however I cannot understand the total lack of colour used. From the minute you walk in the whole space feels more like an upmarket private hospital than a luxury hotel! Where is the emotion? Where is the life? With this lack of colour or even any living plants where is the connectivity to "Live, Extraordinarily" they advertise will be my experience? It was just shades of grey on shades of grey and it all left me completely cold. Although the room & bathroom were clean & generously spacious in size we made our way to check out an hour earlier than required.
Breakfast was included with the stay & Sol Restaurant on the 9th floor was a pleasant space to be in. We did have to ask for salt & pepper once our meals were served which again speaks to the polish the friendly staff could benefit from.
Overall it was an ok stay, I was just very relieved to have used a Great State Voucher to offset the costs of what was an average experience.

Dear Susan M, Thank you for your feedback - it is extremely disappointing to read of your negative experience while staying with us. I can assure you that guest experience is at the very heart of Eos and as such, we were extremely disappointed to hear that your stay didn’t meet expectations. Please be assured that there has certainly been significant follow up and your comments were not taken lightly. With regards to your points on the team not being across the operating hours of The Guardsman - this feedback has been recounted to the teams as they should certainly be able to provide correct information to our guests. Our sincerest apologies for this not happening and the inconvenience of walking to the venue and it being closed. With regards to your views on the interior design at Eos, I would like to let you know that we certainly do have a number of plants, fresh flowers and an abundance of incredible local artwork (over 900 pieces) all through the building, to ensure a contemporary, and beautifully designed finish. The architects and interior designers were very specific in the hotel design, bringing stunning grey stone and marble, along with brushed gold interiors throughout. I am sorry to hear your comments as we have had an abundance of positive feedback from guests around the stunning look and feel of Eos. On behalf of all the team at Eos, please accept our sincerest apologies for your underwhelming experience, and we do hope to have the opportunity to show you that your experience is not the norm. Stayed for one night, $500, allure king room, riverview. Check in was challenging with a language barrier until another receptionist decided to not look busy. Entered our room, great view, paper receipt on floor near curtains, bath robes damp, don't know why, artisan produce must of been 2 pks of chips and almonds, which also we found out was the complementary mini bar offer. Wanted to visit the Sol Bar but just like other paying hotel guests, were denied access due to covid restrictions, but on leaving the ground floor lift, found the line up to get in was long and they were granted entry straight after we were denied. We wanted to enjoy the bath provided but were told the only "bubbles" required a $7 purchase for each use. The sheets were starchy, and on observation in the morning found stains on them that were not from our doing. The music that continuously plays in front of all rooms was loud enough to wake us up at 5.30am. We had a late checkout of 1pm but chose to leave around 9am with another couple expressing their concerns of their stay to the front desk. Unlike Anthony A's fully skycity paid experience and review, us common working people who wish to spoil ourselves on a bit of 5 star pampering but instead received a poor experience and no response from the hotel about our experience

Good Afternoon Anniemoo12, We thank you for your feedback it is much appreciated as we work through our first few weeks of opening. Please be assured that we have reviewed the feedback in detail with all departments and we are extremely disappointed to hear of your experience in our beautiful hotel. This is certainly unfamiliar and disappointing given the large amount of positive feedback we have received from other guests to date. We look forward to having the opportunity to welcome you back to Eos in the near future so you can experience our distinctive hospitality. Thank you once again for your feedback. Warmest Regards, Jodi Brown

It was a very forgettable stay. My husband and I were really looking forward to experiencing luxury, but EOS fell short of that.
The room was nice, the staff were nice, but there was nothing outstanding about it.
We paid $50 for valet service. My husband had a knee injury from soccer, and was limping. The staff offered once to carry our bag, but when my husband declined, he just let it be? Perhaps maybe I expected more empathy from the staff, and maybe insisted to help with our bag.
The hotel is a carbon neutral hotel, which is amazing. We had a great state voucher, and thus stayed in a city view room. I thought the view was ok. River view room would have been nicer. I only have a video of the room, so I couldn't attach it here. I do however attach a very beautiful view of the Adelaide oval. I assume the river view rooms would have that view!
The water pressure in the shower wasn't great, the tablet controller still had the previous guest's messages in the inbox.
The light switches appears to only have "On or Off", no "dim" function. There were spotlights on top of our bed, and when I clicked on something that says "mood" lighting, the lights shine directly over the top of our heads. Quite distracting.
The in-room dining menu was nothing exciting either. Considering the hotel is part of the casino, it would be nice to see more on the menu? Ben and Jerry's ice cream as a dessert menu item just doesn't feel luxurious...........
Turndown service was offered which is nice, however I was quite disappointed to see that they had not topped up the drinking water in our room. Especially because all 3 of the 300mL bottles provided were empty when the staff were there making up our room.
Breakfast was a complete let down, considering my baked eggs were uncooked. Again, the staff was apologetic and offered to re-cook it, but we were running late as check out was at 11, and breakfast was served at 10.30am.
So yes, for the price we paid (even with the great state voucher), we were not impressed with EOS @ Skycity.

Response from Jodi Brown, General Manager at Eos By SkyCity

Dear Juleart, Firstly, thank you kindly for your review, we do appreciate you taking the time to provide your comments from your stay. It was truly disappointing to read your thoughts on Eos as this is certainly not the kind of feedback we commonly receive. With that said, we do truly appreciate your comments so that we can continue to grow and improve. You can be assured that they have been discussed with the team here, and I would like to provide some context to your comments for you below, if I may. In response to your comments on the In-Room Dining, the ice cream does seem to be quite a popular option with our guests, and for future reference, we do welcome our guests to request items that are not on the menu. Our chefs have the flexibility to create items upon guest request. I can certainly appreciate your concerns around the challenges you had with the in-room lighting, and this is sad to hear as the lighting system at Eos was developed quite considerably, with our strong focus on high technology throughout the hotel. I would encourage you to please let the team know if you do stay again, so that we can spend some time easily showing you how the lighting system works - the team would be very happy to do so. It is disappointing to hear that your breakfast was a let down - I have certainly passed this feedback on to our breakfast team who are also very apologetic. I can assure you that this is not the norm. Thank you once again for taking the time to provide your very detailed feedback, and on behalf of the entire team here at Eos by SkyCity, we look forward to hopefully having the opportunity to welcome you back again to Eos sometime soon, if you are willing to give us another chance. Thanks again and have a lovely afternoon. Warmest regards, Jodi Brown General Manager

My partner and I recently decided to celebrate my Birthday by treating ourselves to a staycation here in Adelaide. We decided on Eos at Skycity as neither of us had seen or experienced the new hotel and expanded casino features. Over $500 for one night made us feel like we were going to experience world class service and luxury. WE WERE WRONG.
3pm Check in felt extremely late, especially when a Football game was on the same afternoon at Adelaide Oval. Getting to the hotel and parking was difficult with the added traffic from the football. We found the festival carpark was poorly signed with no working elevators or staff around to assist. Once we found a stairwell which was accessible, we had to carry our luggage up several flights, walk to the Casino only to take an elevator underground again to check in. Very confusing and annoying!
The check in process was easy, with no wait – however no assistance was offered to take our bags to our room, and the instructions were not overly clear from the staff on how to get up to our room.
The design, furnishings and fixtures are stunning. No expense seems to have been spared. The hotel lobby, elevators, hallway and room were spotlessly clean as is to be expected with such a new, modern facility.
We decided to enjoy our entire stay on-site with Dinner, drinks and some gaming. We thought being paying guests at Eos would result in signature service at all locations however we were wrong, again.
We booked at table for 2 at ITL which only resulted in us feeling that it was a massive mistake to stay at Eos and eat at ITL. I will not go into detail but the lack of incredibly poor service and wait times is the reason we will not return and will never recommend others stay or dine here. I tried to speak with staff during and after our stay regarding the service received and was told that they would forward my details on and I could expect to be contacted by a manager before checking out. To date this has not happened.
With a 3pm check in and a midday checkout, even with staying on site we found it impossible to enjoy the gym, pool or spa features. A second night might have made it easier, but it is not worth the money given the service.
After checking out we are still awaiting contact from Eos regarding a resolution for poor experience and nearly 1 week later they are still holding onto the $500.00 security deposit despite staff saying they would contact the bank directly.
Unless you’re an influencer, local celebrity or a high roller in the casino don’t expect 5 star treatment.

Dear Reedens1023, Thank you kindly for your feedback and it is extremely disappointing to read of your negative experience while staying with us. I can assure you that guest experience is at the very heart of Eos and as such, we were extremely disappointed to hear that your stay didn’t meet expectations. Please be assured that there has certainly been significant follow up and your comments were not taken lightly. With regards to your points on the service at iTL, we have certainly discussed with the team, who are sincerely apologetic for your disappointing experience. I can assure you that the iTL team have received extremely positive feedback to date, so it is such a shame to hear of your underwhelming experience. I will have the Manager contact you directly to discuss your feedback further. I am not exactly sure what you mean in relation to the 3pm check-in and midday check out - as this is extended hours than most other hotels who mostly offer a 10am / 11am check out time. Please do let us know if you are wanting a Spa Treatment, as we would certainly encourage booking this in advance to ensure we can work in around your schedule while you are staying at Eos. Unfortunately the pre-authorization (deposit/bond you mentioned) is a standard process, and one which we have minimal control over in regards to the release time frame - the bank themselves actually releases these authorizations, so I can only apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused - however I can assure you that it standard hotel protocol worldwide. On behalf of all the team at Eos, please once again accept our sincerest apologies for your underwhelming experience, and we do hope to have the opportunity to show you that your experience is not the norm. We pride ourselves on offering distinctive hospitality and would be thrilled to have the opportunity to show you that once again in the future. Warmest regards, Jodi Brown General Manager

“Live extraordinary” says the marketing lingo. The word “luxury” is bandied about with just about every new hotel and apartment opening in Australia these days when most often luxury (by international standards) is nearly completely absent. Whilst EOS comfortably provides one with all one needs, it’s far from “Live extraordinary” in a positive sense.
One arrives at a reasonably swank reception area in a basement dungeon environment adjacent the car parking facility. Reception staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. The most ‘luxurious’ aspect of the hotel was the room size which was comfortably larger than the average by Australian standards and the floor to ceiling windows allowed ample light and views.
That’s about it for luxury though. The door handle to the bathroom was loose and one wondered each time whether it might come off and using the shower nozzle for the first time it just fell off from the hose (this was however promptly fixed on being reported). Perhaps the most extraordinary thing was just how crooked the cheap print artwork was affixed to the wall of the bathroom! Poor chap doing the hanging must have been well and truly under the influence!
Facilities were mixed. The steam room and sauna where excellent (a rare treat in Adelaide), the outdoor pool somewhat on the small side for a “luxury” hotel and extraordinarily not an infinity edge pool to take in the views of the river and North Adelaide: a big design miss!
The limited a la carte breakfasts were served in the downstairs iTL Italian restaurant at tiny tables with not much to look at instead of the higher floor Sol Restaurant & Bar which would, one would have thought, provided a more luxurious breakfast experience. Although only a limited a la carte selection was on offer, the offerings were good quality and enough to start the day with.
Overall a generally comfortable hotel providing a pleasant enough stay experience but certainly far from “Live extraordinary” and not worth the price charged.

Dear Doc888, Thank you for taking the time to review, though I am extremely disheartened to read that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. At the outset, I am pleased to read that you did enjoy our spacious guest suites, Eos Spa + Wellness steam room & sauna, and most of all, thrilled to read that our Reception team was efficient, friendly and helpful upon arrival. I am sorry to read that there was a maintenance issue in your bathroom, though am delighted we could promptly rectify this for you. With regards to the artwork, we are proud to feature over 9000 pieces of local South Australian artwork throughout the building, though it certainly should not have been crooked - thank you for bringing this to my attention, and I can assure you this has been fixed. I do appreciate that tastes differ, and am once again sorry to read that your stay did not meet your expectations. We are always eager to improve, and to learn from our guests (particularly those that have travelled internationally such as yourself), so sincerely, thank you for taking the time to review. I do hope we can welcome you back to Eos on another occasion, if you are willing to give us another chance. Warm regards. Jodi Brown General Manager

+1
From the moment I walked in, the service from staff was impeccable. The lobby is welcoming, check-in was prompt & staff were efficient, friendly & knowledgeable. I was even able to check-in a little earlier than the regular time. Much appreciated!! The room was modern, spacious & very clean, amenities were great and the bed was really comfortable. Even a handful of items from the mini bar are complimentary. More hotels should do this!! I had a room on the 7th floor with a lovely view overlooking the river Torrens.
The location is convenient & walkable to many places in the CBD precinct & there are dining options in close proximity as well as in the casino. Public transport is well serviced from this location with the train station, light rail & buses all within minutes walking distance. There is a lot of construction going on in the area, but there was no noise disturbance from it.
Overall my stay was fantastic. Couldn't fault the service or the accommodation and I'd definitely stay again when next in Adelaide. My only disappointment was that I couldn't stay longer!! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
