Arrived to find major renovations taking place. Even the taxi driver thought we were at the wrong property when we arrived to all the front doors covered in newspaper. We thought it was a derelict property. No dining facilities available and being Good Friday this was particularly inconvenient. No breakfasts available and no prior warning of this..

We have recently stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was very good and comfortable, but parts of the motel are very tired and needs an overhaul. I have stayed here before but this time was charged $5 a night for unsecured open car parking. Our first night got off to a bad start with adjoining room having very noisy...

A truly average hotel with a good location. The rooms are quite big and spacious with a good bathroom. There's a common balcony which is of no use. There's no sense of privacy in the rooms and you can hear the noises in the adjoining room. There's no room service and the breakfast buffet is a joke. You only get...

Rooms were very sound proofed. Didn't hear noise from the road or city or adjoining rooms. Which was excellent. Decor a bit tired. But rooms very clean, beds comfortable, staff friendly. And not too bad coffee for the free stuff. Not flash but comfortable and easy access to city entertainment whilst not being on top of it and being too...

After a break of 12 months we once again had a need to stay in the south side of Adelaide so we thought it was time to give the Chifley another go. We checked in on a Sunday afternoon and found the lady at reception to be very friendly and helpful. The entry lobby and dinning area is undergoing a...

Stayed for one night at this hotel. We knew there were renovations going on, so we were prepared for that. The room was on the top floor ate the back of the hotel. Very quiet at night. Linen all good quality. Room looking a bit sad. Dust in the bathroom and chipped bath. Bar fridge in the room was quiet...

A comfortable stay in a spacious room. Friendly staff. A bit of an upgrade going on which was a little disruptive, but didn't really affect my stay. The bed was comfortable. The hotel's location did my needs perfectly. Overlooks the Southern partisans.Would happily return.

I'm just going to list the facts. I booked for 13 nights. It's only got worse as my stay progressed. 1. Item (items ?) stolen from room after housekeeping accessing room without request (day 11/12 of stay) 2. Staff insinuated I lied re above, advised they would get back to me re stealing. Never contacted back. Rude when I contacted...

The hotel is in a southern CBD location, opposite the park and walking distance to cafes, beautiful vintage houses and a free tram service. Unfortunately that is all it has to offer. The rooms are tired, facilities such as the ensuite and horrid gym with multiple broken pieces of fitness equipment needs attention and quick repair. The balconies around the...

The price is about right for what you get. It's dating very quickly and needs a lot of work. They're refurbishing the foyer but you still use an old lift to get to old rooms. A couple of nice eateries are just around the corner, but the Thai restaurant was a disappointment. More like Chinese.
