Nestled in a central location, the Majestic Roof Garden Hotel boasts immaculate rooms and a quiet ambiance that allows for a restful stay, as highlighted by numerous guests. The hotel is in a brilliant location and access to all of the city amenities was great, from a walking perspective found everything within walking distance. We found that our overall our stay was great. The only discontent was we thought the bathroom floor had not been cleaned adequately and so required us to clean the floor before we could use it. The mattress on the bed was for us way too soft and found that when one of us moved the other was rocked around like being on the sea, but that is not a complaint just an observation.
The staff were great cant speak highly enough of them. The young man on the desk when we arrived was brilliant had a great sense of humour and made us extremely welcome. Breakfast was brilliant and the fellow on the breakfast shift was so accommodating made us feel very comfortable. I am sorry we did not get their names. Thank you for a great place to stay and I am sure that if we need to stay in the city again it will certainly be in the Majestic Roof Garden Hotel.

We stayed here for a night on my birthday which was nice. Very clean room and bathroom is modern and spacious. Little disappointed that with how much it costs to stay here there was only 3 complimentary coffee sachets. Breakfast was quite pricey for the amount served. Very nice food though. Also disappointed that coffee in the restaurant was served in small cups as I’m used to the option of ordering a mug of coffee. Was nice to check out the rooftop view.
In the morning after breakfast we went back to our room and around 10am the cleaner opened our door and entered. I’d heard a knock but I was on the phone at the time- regardless I think it was very unprofessional to have entered our room as check out was at 11am.

Perhaps due to low staffing levels, room cleaners are costantly working 7.30am - 4.30pm. This means you can't sleep in and you can't have an afternoon nap because there is always noise from adjoining or nearby rooms being cleaned. Not recommended if you want to relax in your room - isn't that what it's for when you stay at a hotel ?

We stayed in a suite and were quite disappointed at the facilities. The website stated that there are 2 49" smart LED TV in the room - there was only 1 with only a small ordinary TV located in the bedroom inside the wardrobe so it could hardly been seen from one side of the bed. When the wardrobe doors were open to watch the TV you then couldn't walk past the wardrobe, the end of the bed and the stool located at the foot of the bed. The shower door would not close properly so the bathroom floor ended up like a swimming pool where we had to use 90% of the towels to mop it all up. The amenities in the room were also sorely lacking with only 2 coffee pods for the Nespresso machine and 1 set of bathroom products to use for what could have been 4 people. We reported this to the reception staff on check out but little concern was expressed with only a casual "well you could have rung for more" this is not the level of service expected from your flagship room in your hotel. The car parking ticket also would not work and we ended up having to put the ticket in the machine on both entry and exit about a dozen times before it finally worked - thankfully there was no one else waiting to enter or exit the car park behind us, we were going to use the valet parking but was told this was not available! Again a very poor level of service. Whilst the hotel was very clean and bed very comfy we would be very unlikely to chose to stay at this hotel again

We had a three-night Luxury Escapes stay at this hotel and I cannot fault a single thing. The staff were exceptional, both on the front desk and in the restaurant/bar, and also those we met throughout the hotel. They were warm, friendly and helpful, even printing off our our border passes for us as we didn't have access to a printer or our email. Our room was beautifully furnished and the bathroom, with its Japanese screens, was to die for... I wanted to transplant it home. The mini bar showcased South Australian products and was well stocked. A good breakfast was available in the restaurant on the weekend and we also appreciated the daily servicing of our room. Parking is available in a multi-story carpark behind the motel and there are several restaurants and cafes nearby. A thoroughly memorable weekend away.

We stayed for 5 nights. Room was spacious and comfortable, bathroom large and location great. The main issue we had was room cleaning. On the first morning just the bathroom was cleaned. On the next day, the whole room was cleaned. However, on the third morning we were told by the cleaner that she couldn’t clean the room as the rate we had paid (via the online booking site - hotels.com) did not include daily cleaning. There was nothing on the booking site about this, nor on the hotel’s website. We had never come across this before in any hotel in which we have stayed and found it extraordinary. The very helpful front desk clerk apologised for the policy, but confirmed it, and suggested we contact hotels.com, which we have done. He also arranged for our room to be cleaned the next day. So when booking this hotel in future it would pay you to double-check that your booking includes daily room cleaning.

Responded 9 Mar 2022
Hello Paul, Thank you for reaching out to myself directly and also rising the issue in a public forum. I would like to clarify that this is not a hotel policy but rather a discounted rate plan. Meaning that the no-housekeeping rate is offered at a cheaper price point to our public rate. I have been recently notified that some third party websites, such as hotels.com, are not displaying this fact which is in breach of their obligations. Majestic Hotels is already currently following this up with third party websites and explains why it’s not mentioned on the Majestic direct website. In the meantime I have already instructed our front desk staff to explain this on check in to all guests who have booked on this rate plan so they are aware. This will give them the opportunity to pay the extra for daily servicing, if its required, and inform them as they may be unaware, like yourself. I am pleased to hear Samuel was able to assist you during your stay. Once again thank you for taking the time to reach out. Kind Regards, Matthew

After a time of uncertainty regarding travel and leaving home it was decided to risk it and have a night in Adelaide with two other couples to celebrate the birthday of one of our friends. With the use of a Tourism SA accommodation voucher we selected the Majestic Roof Top Garden Hotel due to its location in the centre of Adelaide so that we could go out for a meal without the use of public transport. The hotel provided great service in a hotel with clean, well appointed rooms that had a touch of luxury about them that added to the experience we were looking for as we treated ourselves to a night away.

This is a typical business hotel in a quiet location, very convenient for restaurants and exploring Adelaide.
Our room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom, while clean and functional, was poorly lit, suffering from lighting that may have once been trendy but is impractical - should be remedied if the hotel plans a refurbishment at some future time.
Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful with directions. We had a pleasant stay and would come here again when in Adelaide.

I enjoy a nice staycation in the city and have chosen this hotel twice.

The rooms of the hotel are a decent size and I am particularly fond of the fact you can watch TV from the bathtub.

It was a very warm 37 degrees outside, but when I arrived in the room it was already nice and cool. The room temperature can be controlled from a touch panel which was very user-friendly.

The rooms have black out curtains, so if you want to have a bit of a lay in you don't get blasted by the sun.

You can sign in to your streaming accounts on the in-room TV, which may seem like a downside, but I loved being able to access my lists and watch whatever movies I wanted without having to pay ridiculous prices.

The beds are comfy and they always have extra pillows in the cupboards.

The bathroom was clean and the shower was very roomy with pump shampoo, conditioners and body wash, which are refillable, using less plastics with the little bottles.

I have not yet ventured to the roof garden, but will most likely have a look on my next visit.

The location is excellent, just steps from Rundle Street you have access to restaurants galore and also a very short walk from the main mall, Museum, Art gallery, State library, Botanic Gardens (all of which are free to access) and the zoo.

But the best feature of this hotel for me was the staff, which is saying a lot. I am the kind of person who, if there is an option to avoid human interaction, I will take it, but the staff have always made even the short interactions during check-in so pleasant and painless I actively choose to check out with the staff. They are always genuinely friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. Special shout out to Shinjan for her exceptional customer service.

Hi Cruiser 58 Just - fairly sure that there is one in the bathroom cupboard. I took a hair dryer on this trip to Australia and found it was not needed Do not pay extra for a balcony as we just looked out onto a concrete car park, and do ask when the restaurant will be open as it seems to close at 9pm and is always closed on Sunday evening. Thoroughly recommend Adelaide Sightseeing for the Barossa Food and Wine Tour if you have time. Phil was an exceptional Tour Guide.
