We stayed here for two nights for a weekend getaway and found the Ibis to be perfect. It’s a newer Ibis property and is ultra modern, clean, and comfortable, with large quiet rooms with lovely views of the city and parklands, and high quality bedding and showers. We actually parked in Hindmarsh Square around the corner as it’s only $2.50 for three hours on weekends, between 9-5, and then free overnight! It’s also a five minute walk from all the bars and restaurants in the east end of the city and as such perfectly suited to a city getaway. Highly recommended for the price.

The SA Great State Tourism scheme gave us an opportunity to experience this modern Hotel in a great central location in Adelaide. It's not everyday you get to be a tourist in your own city.

From the perspective of an interstate or overseas traveller, the IBIS is a great choice. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bedding and modern bathroom. Friendly and positive service. A traveller is within easy reach of attractions, shopping and transport.

A first-time traveller to Adelaide upgrading to a room with a view might be disappointed if the window is not clean. The wife reminds me to do ours at home too. Having just completed the magnificent Adelaide Oval Roofclimb (also highly recommended), if I had my harness, squeegee and a bottle of Windex I could have had a crack at it myself, but maybe notify your contractors. One star minus.

The IBIS is a great place to stay and I recommend it. I had the best night's sleep here in ages, enjoyed my overnight staycation and supported businesses in the Mall.

We booked two rooms for a weekend to be spent in Adelaide city. At last minute, we thought that something at this location would be priced at a few hundreds but to our surprise, we only paid $80 per room and the receptionist at the hotel were really nice and friendly.
Things worked a bit differently due to COVID but we were still able to order breakfast before leaving in the morning and picked it up from the kitchen. The food was absolutely delicious and this experience was very enjoyable and pleasant ! We definitely will look into staying in the city again ! Thanks Ibis we look forward to coming back and using our new Accor membership benefits !

This is a pretty cheap hotel to stay at right in the CBD. I've stayed here twice, each time for just one night. The second time I stayed, I had to self-isolate until I got a negative Covid test result. The hotel was extremely understanding of the situation, and they had everything in place to make it smooth and easy.

The service has been fantastic both times, with the front desk folks being very friendly. James checked me in the second time and he's so helpful and just brings a good energy and gives a great first impression of the hotel. As mentioned, I was self-isolating, so I had to organise food to be delivered, which was brought up so fast every time I ordered.

The rooms themselves are bordering on small, but perfectly fine for a spot to rest your head if you're visiting Adelaide. The bed is really comfortable but curiously they only give you two pillows, which is a bit sparse. (But again, I asked for two more on each occasion I stayed here and they brought them really promptly.) The bathroom is again practically sized and the shower pressure is good in the shower. There are some great views to be had on the higher floors, and the floor to ceiling glass makes the room really nice to be in during the day, with the desk facing out the window.

It is usually at the 100 to 150 a night price point, which is incredible for the service and the quality of the room. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Dear timbotimpo, We appreciate you once again choosing ibis Adelaide for your trip! It is lovely to read that you enjoyed your stay with us although I am sorry that you had to self-isolate this time around. Luckily, the testing is done quite quickly at this stage and generally people get their result back within 12 hours; I hope that was the case with yours. I appreciate your kind comments about our team, especially James! I will make sure to pass your feedback on to him. Should you decide to come to Adelaide again, please contact us directly and let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay even more special. Sincerely, Daria Felde Operations Manager ibis Adelaide

Mel at reception was super nice and very helpful.

The room has a self control split system air conditioning.
The window does not open, meaning the room is stuffy without the air-conditioner being on all the time.

The parking garages, one is pay on exit and is located 2 doors up from the hotel.

Conclusion:
Great friendly staff, excellent central location comfortable rooms (for one) and is a easy walk to Rundle Mall.

Hi,

The room which we stayed in was fairly sized (1402). We were able to check in before 2pm which was much appreciated. The location was easy as well. It was not very from the bus stop. You could easily walk to rundle mall and the rest of the shops. They also have a nice restaurant on level one. If your an accor member you can use the card at the restaurant which saves you 50% on the food. All the people were nice and friendly. They helped us out with all the questions which we asked them. The bed was really comfortable as well. We slept really well on the bed which was much appreciated. We were both really happy. You can get the J1, J2 or the J1x bus from the airport to the hotel. The bus stop is only about 300m from the hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for one night. This was our first stay at the Ibis, and we were very impressed. The hotel check in was great, staff were awesome. Check in for us took a bit longer and we were served by two staff members who were both just so friendly and helpful and who gave us an upgrade to a superior room for the wait. We didn’t even feel that we had to wait that long but were very thankful for the upgrade. The hotel is nice and clean and seems new and modern. We parked in the Rundle Place car park that was only a two minute walk from the hotel. I checked this out before staying in the hotel and for the one night it was only $23, paid for at the hotel on check out. Our room was on the 11th floor and had a view of the city and the hills, it was great! The room was clean and fresh, had a fridge, ironing board, safe, hair dryer, kettle etc. There was a great full length mirror and the bathroom had an awesome shower and enough room to be comfortable. The room was on the smaller side to what we are used to but we were aware of this when we booked and the bed was a queen. None of this detracted at all from our stay as there was plenty of room for the two of us and the queen bed was so comfortable it didn’t matter that it wasn’t a king. The pillows were great and there were spares in the room. I forgot to pack our toothpaste and didn’t have to go far because there was a vending machine in the passage near the elevators that had any little bits and pieces you might forget and alcohol! This was great! $2 got us enough toothpaste for the night! The location is amazing, basically walk out the door and take a few steps and you are in Rundle Mall! Easily walked everywhere from festival theatre to the fringe gardens! We did also go to the bar for a drink and sat out on the balcony to have a beer, awesome spot! Will for sure recommend and be staying here again!

I think the parties downstairs were going on till 3 or 4am on NYE. Some parties happening on the Friday night as well And we were on the 13th level so you would hope we could avoid the noise. I could hear flushing from other rooms throughout my stay too.
Sheets also used harsh chemicals that caused me hives.

Seeing as Nye happens every year and there are other reviews about thin walls you would think this is a known issue. Ibis should provide their guests with ear plugs especially on these party nights. Nye costed a premium at 300 plus dollars so this really isn't acceptable.

Also note that Ibis now only offers 3-in-1 body face and hair wash attached to the wall. Probably related to sustainability that I can definitely support. However these products are drying and there is a reason little use 3 in 1 products. Bring your own toiletries.

Dear Janell2008, Thank you so much for taking the time to share some comments about your stay with us. I am very sorry to hear that you have experienced some noise issues and I wanted to apologise for any inconvenience or discomfort caused. Our central location is quite fortunate as we are close to all the main CBD sites whilst not having too many noisy venues close by, aside from one bar/restaurant. Due to intense popularity of the New Year's night, it does get booked for events and parties, same as all the other city venues. At the same time all the CBD hotels get full as well as so many people come to the city for a night of celebration. Due to this, hotel rates are relatively high whilst some degree of celebration noise is inevitable. We do understand that not all of the hotel's guests are here to celebrate which is unfortunate and we do understand that noise pollution will have an impact on their stay. We do have ear plugs made available to any guest upon request so in the future please do reach out to our Reception team and they would be happy to provide some. As for the 3-in-1 shampoo/shower gel, you are absolutely correct - it is a new Accor initiative from last year that is aimed at drastically reducing the use of plastic across the entire chain (products offered will differ from brand to brand). I am very grateful for your understanding and support of the effort although I can certainly understand that the product may not be for everyone. If you do find yourself booking a trip to Adelaide in the future and decide to give us an opportunity to serve you again, please do let me know and I will try to make your return stay more special! Sincerely, Daria Felde Operations Manager ibis Adelaide

Situated in the heart of Adelaide, I found this a great location. Close to public transport, only a block from Rundle Mall & close to the East End District.

Covid-conscious staff were very attentive on arrival offering a pre-packaged assortment of teas, coffee, etc for the room.

The room on the 7th floor was modern, clean & comfortable, with a pleasant view.

Bathroom & shower was clean & a good size for one or two people.

I didn’t try out the restaurant & bar as I had a busy schedule, but these were well advertised throughout the hotel.

Will definitely consider staying here again on a return trip.
