If you want an underground living experience, this bed and breakfast is the place to go. It is a couple of kilometers out of the main part of town, so having a car was helpful. But Rose was delightful, setting us up with an awesome tour of the town and the Breakaways where we were picked up at her door....

This was our first glimpse at living under ground and we were quite amazed at how spacious and comfortable it is. It is located outside of Coober Pedy in a quiet place. It comes complete with a swimming pool up top for the warm days that Coober Pedy can have. Rose and Alex are warm, welcoming and most helpful with...

We spent 2 great nights at the Down to Erth B&B. Our hosts, Rose and Alex, were very welcoming and happy to assist. The accommodation was a great experience for the entire family. First time for us, living underground. The "Dugout" had 2 bedrooms, a small kitchen/dining room, a lounge room, a bathroom/laundry and an above ground swimming pool. Everything...

The place was really nice, everything was in excellent condition and we slept great, room was nice and cold and there was some lovely sights to see in town, including a nice restaurant. Didn't get around to using the pool but maybe next time.

We stayed for a couple of nights at this wonderful place in Coober Pedy and we absolutely loved it! The B&B in 10 meters under ground in an opal mine and staying here is probably an experience you won't find anywhere else in the world. (You will, however, find other places like it in Coober Pedy.) The place was huge....

Absolutely adored Down to Erth B & B. Loved the pool, the teddy, the wonderful breakie products and the overall serenity we felt. Stayed for two nights, wish we could have extended it further, we didn't want to leave. The apartment was exceptionally clean and wonderfully laid out. Great underground experience. Thank you Alex for our exclusive tour, you are...

First time at Coober Pedy (three nights) so we had to stay underground and Down to Erth is a lovely home away from home. Located just out of town, it's so quiet and comfortable. Rose is a fabulous, friendly host and provided very generous breakfast provisions. The place has real personality (and a lovely teddy in the main bedroom!) and...
