An amazing experience of the outback paired with the comfort of an excellent bed and breakfast stay. We were met and chauffeured to our more than comfortable accommodations by the lovely Melissa. Nothing was too much trouble even to the loan of a car to transfer older members of our group of ten to dinner. Every courtesy was extended even...

After more than a week spent in tents, coming here on our way back to Adelaide was more than a treat. Front of counter staff were very good, giving a tour of the place and showing us all the amenities available, along with recommendations of local places to visit. The facilities themselves were great, neat, tidy rooms, plenty of space,...

You can visit old mines and pay for tours or you can stay at this awesome place and sleep in hotel rooms 20meters under the ground. Had fun turning all the lights out on the kids, must set your alarm as with no windows you have no idea what time if the day it is. Free wifi, cafe, breakfast and...

Having visited this hotel before I jumped at the chance to go back and I wasnt disappointed. The peace of staying underground is remarkable and never fails to relax me. The room itself is simple but has all modern needs met. Flat screen tv and wifi. Tea, coffee, microwave etc is in the room along with a fan to keep...

The service and the location were great. The experience of sleeping underground was very different. The location was quite and the decor adequate for the experience. The breakfast was average for a motel. Was not cheap but you pay for the experience

Coober Pedy is unique due to its opal mining capital status but also the underground living experience available there. Would definitely choose this hotel again if traveling through central Australia. Staff indicated they are getting ready to remodel since the rooms are a bit outdated, however, I would stay here again not just for the underground experience and unique location...

What an experience! Staying underground. Excellent and passionate customer service. Comfortable room. My children LOVED it. Not a 5 star hotel but a 5 star experience. Great for families. Breakfast a little expensive given continental was the only option.

If you want to experience something unusual, maybe even a bit exotic, take the time to visit Coober Pedy, the opal capital of the world. We arrived there on the 20.11. after an fairly uneventful drive of about 840 kms. However we did get our first ticket for speeding.having clocked 119 kmh in an 110 kmh area. Good to know...
