Tony and Linda were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a very spacious two bedroom underground apartment. It could do with an update but we loved the retro feel. The kitchen lacked nothing. We only stayed one night but this would be a great place if you were in Coober Pedy longer. Lovely outdoor area to catch the last... More

Stayed a couple of nights in these underground apartments and can honestly say they're great value for money. Two big bedrooms, lounge, bathroom and kitchen area. Had a truly fantastic nights sleep as it's so quiet! The temperature underground is pretty constant too so even if it's pouring with rain and freezing outside (it was!) you don't know a thing... Stayed two nights but wishing it was longer.....a lot longer. We stayed in a two bedroom dugout, plenty of comfortable beds, great kitchen with large fridge, microwave, kettle, plates, table with chairs etc. etc. A large lounge with two lounges a table and flat screen TV. Parts of the walls are left natural so you can appreciate where you are.... More

Others have said it all, no hesitation in recommending. We meant to stay 1 night, stayed 2 and wished we had stayed three. Very spacious, clean, well equipped, competitively priced. And the cave experience will stay with us a long time! Tony also a source of lots of local information. Thanks

We just spend the long weekend in these apartments. The apartments are self contained, spacious, and very comfortable. Tony and Linda are wonderful hosts, greater with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. Our apartment had three bedrooms with capacity to sleep 8 guests. There is ample off road parking and a laundry if you need. Perfectly located in... More

Don't be put off by the outward appearance! We spent 2 nights here in a 2 bedroom underground apartment and were pleasantly surprised by the size and facilities offered. Kitchen, bathroom lounge room and 2 bedrooms. The lounge room had a large flat screen TV and a comfortable lounge. Laundry facilities are available at an additional cost. Free WiFi was... More

The best thing to do when visiting Coober Pedy is to stay in the Desert View Underground Apartments swimming pool, B-B-Q and great outdoor picnic area looking out over the wonderful outback Australia. Tony the owner is the most helpful and friendly guy in town.

Interesting apartments built underground. Stayed in the older part in a 2-bedroom apartment. Apartment has 2 bedrooms, lounge room, kitchen / dining and bathroom/toilet. Large and spacious apartment. Outside living area. Has pool but we did not need it. Location 4/5 A bit far from town centre if you want to walk, quiet location. Sleep Quality 5/5 Large bedroom and... More

We stayed here for three nights. We went intending to stay only one but it was so warm and comfy that we extended to three nights. The experience of living underground was extremely pleasant. It was so quiet and despite the fact we used no heating and it was very chilly outside we were warm as toast. Our hosts Tony... More

We enjoyed our stay at the desert view apartments. The owners were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The rooms themselves were good. The bed was comfy. It was nice to have a full kitchen and a sofa. We enjoyed the novelty of staying underground, and while we found it a little warm to sleep in alone, the fan was enough... More
