We were a little nervous upon arrival if we had made the right choice as we were budget cautious but were happy with our STAY! We had a queen bed and two bunk beds in our room which was surprisingly comfortable and plush. Location : The location is central in the island and also convenient and close to the general...

Dear MyItchyTravelFeet, Thank-you for providing us with such a thorough review and I am pleased that you enjoyed your overall stay at Vivonne Bay Lodge. Unfortunately there are instances where we cannot accommodate late checkouts, and this was evidently one of these occasions. All the team at Vivonne Bay Lodge are such friendly, hospitable individuals so I am extremely disappointed...

Vivonne Bay Lodge is so lovely. It's absolutely amazingly clean. The bathroom block is ceramic tiled. The little gem has everything you need. My husband and I absolutely loved our stay. We rode pushbikes around and then relaxed on the decking with a glass of local wine. Such a relaxing place. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

We stopped at the lodge for lunch as part of our tour of Kangaroo Island. There were about 40 passengers on the bus. They had 2 buffet lines set up which allowed us to all get our plates filled quickly. There were 4 types of salad, chicken and beef, filtered rainwater, coffee or tea and a dessert trolley all included....

Stayed here as part of my two day KI adventure tour. There are private rooms or group rooms. All the rooms are clean and spacious. (I forgot to take a pic of my room!) There are shared shower & toilet facilities, but they see very clean & well maintained. Towels (& keys) only supplied to the private rooms. Shared rooms...

We stayed at this hostel as part of our Kangaroo Island tour. Our tour group had the hostel to ourselves for the night so it was nice and quiet. The facilities sit in the wilderness so you might see wild animals - we seen a wallaby and her joey hopping around! The facilities were clean and well-kept. We had a...

We stayed here during winter and never felt cold inside the rooms. Each room has good independent heating and the common room is warmed by a combustion heater. Now you do have to put the wood in the fire yourself at night as there are no staff in the evenings but they always leave you a good supply (a weeks...

We had lunch in the bistro on our tour of the island. There was meat and chicken with plenty of self serve home cooked vegetables. Plus sweets (carrot cake and cream). Just lovely and filling on a cool Winter's day.

This place was once an Outdoor school, hence the shared accommodation, washrooms and showers. Private rooms are available but you still share the washroom and shower facilities. It is kept spotlessly clean - rooms, communal areas, grounds. The private rooms are functional but comfortable. The lodge itself offers an area to sit and relax with friends or family. Quiet, relaxing...
