Located at the against that backdrop of mountain range, this park is an enjoyable place to stay with nice view. We booked for powered site, and we even encountered some wildlife in the evening. Amenities are quite in place. The shower room are huge. The only thing is wifi access is only available near the reception building. There is also...

When we didn't book ahead and could not get a site or cabin at Cradle Mountain Discovery Park we were chatting to staff at the Cradle Forest Inn who told us about Gowrie Park Wilderness Village. After a nice drive on a winding mountain road we arrived at Gowrie Park Wilderness Village. What a pleasant surprise – it appeared to...

This is a great place to stay. Staff friendly, facilities great, nice open fire. Close to Cradle Mountain, about 45 minutes away, but good drive. Close to other towns like Sheffield, Railton etc. Would recommend as a base for day trips.

Friendly helpful staff. Great amenities showers $1 for 5 minutes, not $1 per minute as stated in a previous review. Lovely location by the mountains. We had a powered site & hired a portable fire pit with wood for $10 & enjoyed sitting under the stars.

The staff at Gowrie Park were helpful and friendly. Staying in the backpacker accommodation was comfortable with accessible parking and clean linen. The kitchen facilities were also clean and the place had a relaxed, quiet feel: perfect after a day of hiking around Cradle Mountain! Things to hear in mind: -Travellers need to bring groceries with them as there are...

Stayed for 2 nights in our motor home & would loved to have stayed longer. The best amenities we have ever had, friendly helpful owners, amazing mountain views & walking tracks & just to cap it off a great meal at the Black Stump Restaurant just a short walk away. Can't wait to return.

The rooms are just big enough for 2 people. Kitchen is small but has everything you need. Shower/toilet block is very cold. $35 a night for the bed is reasonable however you have to pay for your shower on top of that which I feel is a little unreasonable. $1 a minute. I would have rated higher except the room...

A great place to stay if visiting Cradle Mountain about a 40 min drive. The park is pleasant, and has great views of Mount Roland. the Kitchen is clean and tidy although we found had to line up to do our dishes. toilet/Showers are clean and tidy. We camped down by the road, which had very little traffic after about...

Spent 2 glorious nights at the 2 bunks room. Extremely clean and comfy beds. Owners and staff were very friendly and made our experience memorable. We highly recommend. The mountains around are equally stunning as Cradle Mountain!

Comfortable and friendly. Lots of habitat nearby for hiking and birding. Excellent restaurant close by. Lodging includes both cabins and bunk rooms. Caretakers were exceptionally friendly and helpful when I needed to get connected to the local phone system which turned out to be so tricky when you are not local!
