The manager 'Mo' gives you the warmest of welcome and always3 with a wide smile that cheered us up during the rainy days...There were 3 of us travelling and he generously allowed us into the 4bed room all to ourselves...Will stay there again without doubt... Having said all that, the amenities were very basic and average...But we didnt really mind...

Stayed there for 4 nights. Disappointly the reviews on here are incredibly misleading. The kitchen was disgusting, I work as a chef and if this kitchen ever got health inspected you would have it shut in a professional world. The one shower in the basement has 0 water pressure. the other two male showers are at eye level (i am...

As others have mentioned, the hosts are nice enough, but the kitchen and bathrooms could be improved. 4 bedroom female dorm room was a generous size, clean with comfortable beds. Kitchen was very scummy looking. If you were planning to stay more than a night or two it would probably be best to find a place with cleaner cooking facilities....

We were very disappointed with this backpackers. We have stayed in many and the kitchen is the dirtiest we have seen. Old food was left in the fridges and they smelt and were filthy. Someone else, while we were there opened the oven to use it and saw how filthy it was so did not bother. The mirowave was also...

Let me say up front that Mo and his family are excellent hosts, friendly and helpful. The position of the hostel is within walking distance of the Salamanca Markets and the waterfront. The rooms are very good and clean, but the showers are awful. Their design means that water is always on the floor, there is no shelf to put...

Location is fine, just on edge of CBD. Hostel is smallish and has limited space / facilities. Single room was OK, as were toilets and showers. Communal area was small for number of guests, and internet facilities did not appear to exist (although WiFi may have been available - unsure). What really let this place down was the state of...

After so many good reviews I was quite confident about staying at Narrara. However I was very disappointed and would have moved if there was accommodation available elsewhere. To put the positives first, the beds and room were clean, quiet and comfortable, which is the only reason we stayed. If you plan on cooking don't stay here. The kitchen was...

I recently stayed at Narrara's and really enjoyed my stay there. As most reviews have stated, Mo the manager is very friendly and helpful and knowledgable about Hobart. He and his family run the hostel and they are all lovely. Narrara itself may not be the most modern hostel but it has a cosy feel that made me feel very...

Good value for money. The manager Mo was really friendly and was really helpful. He was one of the reasons why we felt so comfortable there. After spending a few nights there,we went off to nearby farm to spend the night and decided to come back to stay for our last night in Hobart before flying back. Returning to Narrara...
