We stayed for 5 nights. The house itself is beautiful and nice touch of port for the guests in the lounge and a beautiful verandah to sit on. I can only comment on the room we had and considering it was only slightly cheaper than other rooms I since found out I think it was pretty dated. Carpet needed a...

We loved this B&B. The location was excellent, the accommodation was very comfortable, but most importantly the manager Robert was absolutely amazing. He went out and got us gluten free bread and delicious cheese. The coffee at breakfast was perfect. The cooked eggs are yummy. We sat on the porch after a day at MONA dinning tea and having a...

We spent three nights there in February. We had a beautiful room in a beautiful building in a beautiful place. Nice terrace and lounge available for guests. The staff were friendly but not there most of the time so you are on your own with the other guests. Breakfast was fine, a different cooked option was available but every day but...

We spent three nights at this lovely and historic B&B and we could not recommend it more highly. This place was clean, comfortable, charming, and convenient. They offered free parking and free wi-fi. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was included and was quite nice. The downstairs salon offered free port and chocolates but we were...

We spent two nights recently at Gattonside Heritage Accomodation. Our room was beautifully appointed with plenty of space and all the added touches to ensure comfort. Downstairs the communal dining room is used for a delicious breakfast whilst the lounge provides a spacious retreat in the evening for chocolates and port. A short walk into Hobart allowed us to explore...

Loved the place. Had everything we wanted. A great historic room, a great building. Free port in the parlour. Free chocolates in the parlour. Breakfast was really really good. So close to Hobart, yet far enough to enjoy the comforts that Gattonside offers

Looked good on all the websites we looked at, however we were allocated room 3 on the ground floor and were disappointed on arrival. The building and the shared rooms (sitting, breakfast) were lovely, however one doesn't spend all that much time in these areas. It was the bedroom where one spends most of the time that was very disappointing...

Large room with a shower over the spa bath. Nice to see old furniture still in use. Never saw the owners as they state and prefer contact through Internet. As I don't have it this was a problem. But finally got assistance

Excellent location within walking distance to Battery Point and the harbour. Lovely large room and a beautiful Federation building with stunning stained glass windows and an airy verandah. It is a shame that there is not a separate shower and that toiletries are not replaced on a daily basis. Breakfast - perfectly adequate. Coffee dreadful
