This is a fabulous private hotel in a magnificent heritage stately home overlooking the river at Battery Point. The views are to die for and the rooms are beautifully appointed with spacious ensuite bathrooms. The attention to detail is second to none with high quality toiletries supplied and very comfortable bed and furnishings. An unexpected highlight was the appearance each...

We stayed 2 nights at Grand Vue and loved it. Our room provided stunning views across Sandy Bay and was large, comfortably furnished. The kitchenette was small but functional and met our needs. The hotel is in a quiet corner of Battery Point and has several restaurants and pubs within a few minutes walk, whilst Salamanca Place and central Hobart is...

Stayed one night in this beautiful hotel which is located in perfect walking distance to all that Salamanca and the waterfront area of Hobart has to offer. We were up graded to a lovely water view room which was spotlessly clean and elegantly decorated. Lovely marble bathroom, convenient kitchenette and comfortable double bed . The hotel was so lovely and...

We came upon this beautiful little boutique private hotel by searching on wotif and then came here to trip advisor to read more. All the reviews were amazing and I can see why. Just a short walk to Salamanca Markets and Restaurants, a great pub around the corner, wonderful little tea and coffee places everywhere. The owners are such lovely...

The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful and brought us delicious homemade treats every afternoon. The room was absolutely beautiful. It had a gorgeous view, beautiful furnishings, comfy bed and ample space. The hotel is located in beautiful Battery Point, which...

This was perfection, a beautiful well appointed room with panoramic views over the Dewent River, walking distance to Salamanca Markets and restaurants. Just delightful. In trying to think of a downside, perhaps the lovely muffins provided could have been delivered a little earlier for afternoon tea and we would have loved breakfast too but understand the extra work that this...

We stayed here of 4 nights for a combination of work and pleasure. Had booked it on the internet and weren't really sure what we would get but we knew we had done the right thing from the moment we saw the place. Set in a quiet back street in Battery Point, it is a 100 year old building that...

Gets 4 "G's" Not only is she Grande, besides Good, Great and Glorious... What a welcome relief, the Grand Vue exudes character. Our first visit to Hobart, how impressed we were with our hotel choice. Arriving after hours, met by lovely hosts Annette & John. The room, where do I begin; upgrade to the Turret Room, the largest room with...

Our stay at the Grande Vue was perfect, the room and view were stunning and our hosts were just delightful. The hotel itself is a renovated 100 yr old mansion in Battery Point, within 10 minutes of Salamanca Place and the piers and 5 minutes from some fantastic cafes and pubs. The rooms were perfect, we stayed in room 7...
