The room we stayed in had a fully equipped kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom with washing machine and tumble dryer. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom has a shower and a bath, it is clean and spacious but old. A...

It's the perfect getaway for a group of guys as the accommodation has 2 separate bedrooms has 2 separate bathrooms and is prepared to provide four single beds plus foldout. You also have the tram right on the doorstep for convenience. We stay there at least once a year. Its the first place I look for.

This hotel is old, dark and dingy. Rooms and décor are tired and in need of major refurbishment. The downstairs breakfast area is dark and windowless - just awful. They had the audacity to charge $360/night during F1 week, which is nothing short of daylight robbery. Stay somewhere else.

Good sized well presented apt. Only negs were the shower which was in need of a scrub & update, v stained tiles. Also we booked a queen & a twin room & got 2 twins. We requested this be changed on checkin at 5pm & housekeeping arrived after 8pm by which time we were trying to put kids to bed....

We stayed in a two bedroom park view apartment. It was spacious, well set out and the reason we stayed was there were two bathrooms. Good location. Reception staff very helpful and always friendly. Appreciated the great service.

Stayed in a one bedroom apartment with balcony. It was bright, clean and roomy and felt more like being at home than being in a hotel room. Staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay again on my next visit to Melbourne. So convenient to get to the theatres.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
