Stayed for 4 nights, and found hotel very suitable,Rooms were clean, comfortable and modern. We stayed on 7th floor and had no problems with street noise, Continental Breakfast was included in nice restaurant in the basement, and could be upgraded to full breakfast for only $6 extra. Hotel was only few meters Elizabeth st, CBD and trams etc.

This hotel is in the heart of the city in a prime location yet the prices are incredibly low by Sydney standards and other major cities. Rooms are great, clean and comfortable. Security is good and everything is just outside the door: shops, transport, cafes etc. good for a nice trip on a budget but with a good standard too....

This hotel's location is perfect for Melbourne. It is in the cbd and public transport around the corner. Had a room with two king single beds which where very comfortable. Room was great. Buffet breakfast in the basement which the staff work continually top everything up. Staff very pleasant and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed here in a delux spa room just last weekend for my birthday and we went and saw the lion king, I'm so glad we chose to stay here it was close to everything including some lovely little bars to have drinks in after our show. The room and bathroom were spotless, the minibar at a reasonable price, the bed...

A great location; hidden off the main streets; quiet and peaceful. Lovely continental breakfast; rooms well accommodated; friendly and very efficient staff. Have stayed here before and wouldn't waste my time looking for other hotels; this is a well found gem !

This hotel is not a 4 star. It is unclean, and boasts deluxe king size rooms. A king size bed does not fit in a less that standard size room. The bathroom came complete with mould in the shower recess, the fridge was running hot and the windows were dirty. The entrance to the hotel is down an alley way...

This is a small hotel in a good CBD location. It is not particularly fancy, but it offers a good balance between price and comfort. Clean, good bed and linen and quiet. Breakfast is fine and I don't see the point of paying extra for a 'hot' breakfast. There's a good selection of cereals, breads, cheeses etc. For what you...

On the hotelpromotion it is located in a vibrant area of Melbourne, pictures and all. The truth is the whole area has suffered from the economical crisis; a lot of empty shops and restaurants as a result. Still, this is an excellent base from where to (dis-)cover Melbourne. Close to a trainstation and a lot of interesting old and new...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
