Conveniently located centrally, very well priced, the apartments had everything you could ask for from a self contained apartment. Spacious, modern, we'll maintained, my wife found them on "what if" we stayed for over a week and found the central location to be most useful with two young children. Large bathrooms and bedrooms with separate lounge, with striking views over...

Simple and neat little place. Based very central and convenient. There are restaurants and shops close by. Can absolutely recommend Little Collins Hotel to any traveller. The price is reasonable. Would however not recommend for someone that is looking for luxury, this place basic.

Having recently spent 4 days in Melbourne my husband and I chose to stay in this apartment hotel as it is in such a great location. Unfortunately that turned out to be the only positive factor of our stay. The staff in reception didn't seem to care too much about how we were greeted but, as we had actually stayed...

Stayed for a weekend. Very nice updated, fully self contained apartment at a reasonable price. Just had to find the entrance, which is just a glass door and an intercom. These is also another entry/exit onto Russell St once you have checked into your room & have card access. Very nice would stay again when we go back We had...

As a solo traveller I was looking for somewhere city central which had access to all the amenities. It's a $10 taxi ride anywhere in the citty and a 2min walk to Bourke street trams. Staff not overly professional which wasn't a huge problem for me being a young traveller, in saying this they were able to help me with...

The hotel is situated in an ideal location with nearby transport and restaurants. It's is in walking distance to the CBD. The room is very small and has a claustrophobia feeling to it. The bed is very low and there is no space for your luggage. The daily cleaning of your room is average. The staff don't have a good...

Initially was disappointed with first impression of building but the room was FANTASTIC and was just like new.Staff very low-key and friendly.Location was great with tram and free circle tram only few steps away.Good eateries just below the building for breakfast etc plus a million others nearby.

There were not that many reviews on Little Collins Hotel, Melbourne so I had some concerns before making the booking. However, due to the attractive price offered, location and availability, we decided to take the risk and book it. We had requested for an early check in (by10am) instead of 2pm since our flight touched down early morning and the...

This place gives you a massively overpriced bed only. It is nothing Like the pictures. You get a room above abandoned squash courts. No towel and bed change. We turned up to an abandoned checkin. Waited 10 minutes. While looking for the staff, I walked into a renovation area adjacent where naked barbie and ken dolls were arranged in a...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

“I had a rental car and car park is not included. Frankly I would not bother renting a car if staying here public transport is so convenient.”
