I booked for NYE on my son's advice, who had stayed there last year. Very happy with that decision. Check in was swift, the air con in the room was cold (often isn't and we need it cold), beds soft, shower hot and strong and the room was not cramped. Glad to see the complimentary bathroom stuff because we travelled...

Great for a short stay. Good proximity to Crown Casino, supermarket, and trains. It was great that parking is available for $15 overnight. Room was neat, clean, and hospitable. Bed sagged in the middle which made it difficult to get comfortable enough to be able to sleep, but overall the bed was ok. Bathroom was a good size, and clean.

Good location within walking distance to/from Southern Cross Station, Etihad Stadium and Spencer Outlet Center.("SOC"), a retail shopping center with a good range of shops. There's a Coles within the SOC, to grab your grocery supplies if needed. Decent number of food outlets like Subway, Hungry Jacks [Burger king] within walking distance. And also coffee joints. It's also located within...

We recently stayed here for just one night but it was a very comfortable one night! The staff at both check in and check out were very efficient and friendly. Our room was an executive queen room and quite spacious with a good size bathroom. The window of our room on tower 1 faced out onto a concrete wall so...

My wife and I stayed here recently as we were attending a concert at Etihad Stadium, which is just in the next block. Trams run past the door, Southern Cross train station is just across the road along with supermarket and retail shopping. Essentially we only needed somewhere to shower, change and sleep and the Atlantis was perfect. Our room...

Location is brilliant in the centre of the city and opposite Ethiad Stadium. The Gym and Pool are awesome, the rooms are really clean and if you pay extra you get a view, failing that the curtains do close.

Quite a standard and decent hotel. The front desk staffs are quite helpful. Room was clean. Close to southern central station and prominent streets. The tramp lines were great and easy access to cbd as it is located at the free tramp zone.

The staff were friendly enough on arrival. My heart sank as I looked into the bathroom, there was mould all over the shower wall and floor. We decided to shower wearing our thongs and decided we wouldn't let it ruin our time. When we checked out I mentioned to the staff that I was disappointed with the state of the...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
