I stay here often for work, and the location is good yet still quiet. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The dinner here is really good, I always try to eat here at least once during my stays :)

Small room, asked for a double bed and was given two singles, romanic night for me and my partner. Cheeky little blood stains on the doona that had no cover on it. Old food trays left in the hallways for our entire stay. Rude young ginger haired receptionist with 0 customer service. Everything about this place is outdated and they...

The location is great and the staff are very helpful. However, it is a bit odd with the 2 entrances to the Hotel on different streets. Sometimes you can get help at one concierge desk and at other times you have to go to the other desk. At night you cannot get in one of the doors. You have to...

Location of the hotel is very good, in CBD area, across the street is Chinatown street, behind is Myer and Emporium shopping centers. 7-11 across the street but recommend to walk to Metro a little further down to get better prices for mineral water (as low as 70c vs $4 at convenient stores for a 1.5 litre water), snacks food...

Booked this hotel for a one night stop over to see sights of Melbourne..reception welcoming, friendly and helpful and allowed us to checkin earlier than planned.....little disappointed with the fact that we asked for two room close together ....our rooms were in the complete opposite ends of the block...also it appears that there are two main areas of rooms to...

I stayed here for business for one night. That's about as long as I could handle. The entrance is a bit all over the place and quite confusing with multiple desks. In saying that, the staff were efficient, well presented and polite. The hotel seems quite old. The lift has seen better days and the corridors felt more like a...

a great location, in the middle of the city, everything was within walking distance, having the cafe and bar in the hotel was a bonus along with the restaurant. The room was clean and nice, loved the fact everything was right there and the multiple entrances was a bonus. A good place for a short break in melbourne

In the older, smaller section of the hotel on the 8th floor and whilst the room is basic, it is all I need for a business trip. Good internet (free, fast, multiple devices), a decent gym, a small pool but excellently positioned in the city & close to Chinatown. Had a beer in the bar (quiet space with ample tables/seats...

We arrived at this hotel after spending 5 weeks travelling in Australia. We were really surprised at the size of the first room we were given. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
