The Grand Hyatt in Melbourne ranks as one of the worlds best for warm service, excellent location and comfort. if you're able to use the Club floor facilities its well worth the extra, with a professional team of staff and a pleasing range of hot foods, cold dishes, pastries, breads and refreshments for both breakfast and evenings.

The Grand Hyatt is very well located in the center of Melbourne, in the 'Paris' end of Collins street. However we felt it came across as quite 'cold' , Literally the reception area is fairly draughty as it's open to the downstairs area where the cars and taxi's come in. And the The rooms were fine, reasonably appointed but now... More

Brilliant hotel with faultless service and facilities. Stayed here for two nights and enjoyed the experience very much. Staff were very friendly and helpful and it is the best hotel I have stayed in to date. The rooms were amazing and included everything we needed.

I cannot fault the rooms or the food. If you want room service, try the veal cheeks. So tender and so tasty. But it's the service that makes me want to go back. You are made to feel so welcomed by absolutely everyone in the hotel. From the man sweeping the driveway to the concierge to the wait staff. I... More

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights. Whilst the weather wasn't great, the staff we met upon arrival were terrific. The check-in lady pointed out a local area to eat which proved to be absolutely perfect. The hotel had excellent facilities and the room was superb. We enjoyed a top quality evening meal in terrific surroundings... More

My hubby and I took our daughter to Melbourne for a few days. We stayed at the Hyatt. It was brilliant. the location is fantastic, close to the city but on the lovely quiet end of Collins St. We overlooked the river and Botanic Gardens. Really beautiful. Unfortunately the Queen room we were originally put in was unsuitable due to... More

Was a beautiful stay. My hubby and I loved it. The staff were great and met our needs. I have recommended to our friends and family. I wouldn't stay anywhere else while traveling to Melbourne. I felt very welcomed. Thank you to the staff. Great job!

What an amazing 5 star hotel. The hotel is simply stunning and pure luxury. From check in to check out we were treated like VIPs by the wonderful staff. I could not recommend the hotel highly enough to anyone wanting a luxurious 5 star hotel in Melbourne.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
