The hotel is quite good, but its neighborhood is not quite as good. One can walk to the river and Flinders street in about 20 minutes, and the tram lines--City Circle and regular--run either very close or just in front, but heading away from the center one enters somewhat less interesting environs. The Queen Victoria market is next door, but...

This hotel from the reception staff to the manager are excellent where the customers are genuinely made to feel welcome. I had asked for a quiet room and high floor [ first stay was on 6th floor, second stay 7th floor] and was given both. What an additionally fantastic idea was their pillow menu - a choice I think of...

We had a delicious dinner in the dining room with our tour group, but although we had ordered over 24 hours ahead, the food took forever to be served. The rooms were nice, and it was pleasant to have the park across the street. The breakfast buffet was a good one as well.

This is the hotel to go to if you are doing a solo trip! Fantastic hotel with excellent service. The staff down in HQ on Williams treated everybody brilliantly and the cocktails that are made by Marco were unbelievably good! Couldn't stop at one!! Definitely would come back again and will recommend to others!

I often stay here for business and find the hotel in a convenient location close to trams and train even though it's on the edge of the CBD. Staff are friendly and professional and meals and service overall are excellent. I have been staying there when I visit Melbourne for many years and the hotel is reliable and consistent with...

Extremely happy with our overnight stay at Radisson on Flagstaff. Was a little hesitant about staying a another Raddison hotel following disappointing experiences, however was delighted with all aspects of this hotel. Particularly price, location and clean well appointed room. We plan to make this our go to hotel when in Melbourne if price continues to be reasonable😊

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
