Very friendly & helpful staff. Clean unit & comfortable bedding. Close to transport, theatres & restaurants. I loved the older style building and it was in a fairly quiet location which was also good given it was quite central.

Advertised online as a serviced apartment with kitchen, dining, bedroom & bathroom. Reality was a room too small to walk around the bed (actually 2 single beds pushed together, not a queen size as indicated prior). No place to sit, no room to open your suitcase even, had two hotplates for cooking but in the same room as the bed,...

location and staff was great but.. room was too small for two people. cramped and not able to put in luggage without a hassle. steps are a problem. as the lift doesn't go to the bottom floor and the trip from the reception area is fraught with steps.

You should stay in this hotel if you want to spend $200+ per night on the following experience: 1) Arriving to find a sign on the front door saying you have to go to another Quest Hotel, on Lonsdale St, to check in. The map is completely inadequate, so you have to pull out the iPhone, check Google Maps, walk...

Excellent position, though my bedroom was underground and overlooked by Little Bourke, so no privacy.Frosted or maybe mirrored windows allowing looking out but not in might help if guest is warned conditions change at night. My door somehow deadlocked, so twice it didn't close: once when I'd gone out and once while I slept. Magnetic key operated variably to come...

Room was beautifully presented. Had a one bedroom apartment and the lounge and kitchen areas were very spacious. Comfy beds with no street noise, so had a great nights sleep. Will definitely stay again.

I booked this place for a girls only shopping spree, and was so glad that I did! It was a lovely old building, with a gorgeous courtyard that we entered our room from, the room was big, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were very accommodating holding our bags before check in, and after check out, so we didn't have...

Gordon Place is my go to accommodation when I stay in Melbourne's CBD. I love the building, its location but above all the apartments are wonderful. I will keep going back there and highly recommend this Quest establishment.

Great location in the heart of the city. Lovely old building with a lot of history, a bit of a challenge to find your way throughout the hotel though. I'm sure there are nicer rooms than the one I stayed in which was very dark as the windows opened onto a huge retaining wall - my room was below street...

We really loved Quest Gordon Place. Our 2 bedroom apartment was huge (which is why we booked it) & had plenty of space to spread out. Beds were amazing, staff excellent & it's in Chinatown so close to plenty of restaurants. Yes the place is a little tired & could do with a spruce up but as we wanted a...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
