We stayed at Lygon Lodge for the second time in 12 months last Saturday.
The location is fantastic, being right in the middle of Lygon Street which is full of amazing Italian restaurants. Parking is free, but it requires going around the block and down a...More
Tucked away in the middle of Lygon St this "Lodge" is more of a budget hotel with the parking downstairs and rooms upstairs. The front desk staff were great - super helpful and gave a smile and hello every time you went in. Parking is...More
We had a lovely two night stay here, in central Lygon Street, there is literally that many restaurants so close to this place, that you could eat forever! The experience of Lygon street is one that has to be discovered, and this hotel is definitely...More
A fabulous place to base yourself, close to the city and transport. Surrounded by great places to eat. Rooms are basic but clean and have all you need. The only down side is the parking......first in best dressed as there is not a park allocated...More
Terrific service, I’d say the staff at reception give the 5 star properties a run for there money. Wonderful location in the heart of Lygon St. Room is simple but has everything you need including cooking facilities. Free parking a bonus.
If you want real parmesan, cut from the block, grated over your pasta with a twist of style, this is the place. Until recently, this neighbourhood was home to the notorious ‘Carlton Crew,’ a pseudo mafia who started their day with a local espresso. They are gone, but the espresso still runs strong in this Little Italy which has something for everyone. Starched white tablecloths, candles, pizza the way
they do it "back home" and maybe even a bit of amore. The number of gelato choices will leave you in a state of indecision and wide footpaths, big awnings and a sea of packed tables makes this al fresco dining experience a continental buzz. Even if you’re not eating, it’s worth the stroll just for the people-watching, which, of course, is an Italian tradition.

Hi Gilbert I believe the car parking was free but it was a fairly small car park....careful on the way in through the back lane and out again as it is a thoroughfare for other businesses. There is car parking elsewhere around the area. I was more nervous about getting a car park at the front reception for check in as it is a busy street and has trams etc but it all seemed to flow ok.
There is some parking and it is very handy in that area of the city. The parking is limited and a little crammed So small car ideal Give them a ring or email them letting them know that you would like a park.
