I had to travel during Formula One so was charged at Five Star Hotel rates; which probably colours my review. Ibis was all that was available and it's very much a 3 star motel. On the plus side; rooms were a good size and housekeeping was done well. Breakfast ($20 per day) was pretty good, buffet style with hot and...

Parking is an issue here. I was dropped off with the luggage while my partner drove the car to the parking station a block away. The room was clean and tidy. We arrived late so ordered something to eat in our room - not very good. Anyway we were too exhausted to care. The stay was enjoyable as we were...

What a great location. We went there for the Adele concert. So close to the train station, the sky bus and the trams. Plenty of shops to get supplies from if you are doing it on a budget. Also plenty of simple places to eat around Etihad stadium. Was a bit small but was perfect for a 2 night stay....

I have stayed many places in Melbourne. I chose the Ibis Little Bourke street for its proximity to Etihad Stadium for the Adele concert. I was disappointed in the appearance of Little Bourke Street around the Ibis. It was so littered and on an alley way type road that already feels closed in it wasn't welcoming. I know it is...

Having stayed here before, it was a logical choice for my stay for a weekend getaway to Melbourne with a mate. Location is perfect - 5 minutes walk if that from the Skybus, and Southern Cross station, and within easy walking distance from a myriad of dining options, convenience stores and more. After being double charged on arrival, the error...

Ibis Little Bouke Street ticks all the boxes. Conveniently located, comfortable bed and pillows, friendly helpful staff (a credit to the Accor group). My solo shopping trip was made more enjoyable by staying here. Great place for solo woman staying in Melbourne.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
