The location of this hostel was awesome, with Flinders street station, Federation Square and a tram stop all on your doorstep. The facilities were good, big kitchen with plenty of places to store your food. The t.v room and bar were great places to chill...More
Really nice hostel. Staff are super friendly and helpful. I was in a 4 bed female dorm with an ensuite bathroom. Room was quiet, airy and spacious and beds were clean and very comfy. The kitchen area was huge and I made my meals there....More
Well what can I say about this place.
Fantastic Hostel. Certainly the beat in Melbourne. I was lucky enough to meet Chuck the manager who is possibly the most handsome bald man you could ever lay eyes on. And such a doll. The bar downstairs...More
rooms very clean, toilets and kitchen okay, good place for meeting people, you can get help with your tour bookings, great location in the middle of Melbourne
rather loud because it's in the citycenter and there are many people around
the rooms are basic and they come with lockers beneath the bottom bunk beds. We stayed for a conference and it was fairly comfortable, nice little bar downstairs which had a 90's party on the Saturday night which was fabulous! Wouldn't stay here with kids...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air
of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

They're pretty big but honestly most of the ladies in my dorm (ladies only dorm) used them for valuables and left our clothes in our bags by the side of beds it was much easier access. Admittedly less secure and 1 or 2 items of clothing for some ladies went missing but I didn't have a problem. you can always keep ur bag locked too if it won't all fit in the locker.
