This is by far the best hostel I've ever stayed at. From the rooms, to the guests, to all the little extras they do that no other hostel does they make the top of my hostel list. Things like free morning pancakes every morning, the kitchen and accessible when you need it to be, reliable wifi, front desk 24/hours, super...

I stayed in a 8 bed dorm. There was no window and air condition was turn off. Therefor the room was smelly and dark. Reception refused to turn on the air conditioning. Therefor the smell of 8 people who stayed in the room for couple of days accompanied me during my stay. Not pleasant at all. There were couple of...

The location is stunning, in the heart of the city, you can easily go everywhere. The hostel is quite big, you can always meet new people, big common space and super friendly staff. There is a bar inside with cheap drinks but good to create the right atmosphere. The only problem is with the free wifi..too slow...

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our property. We really love what we do here and are grateful that you told us we are doing good. Free Wifi, it is slow we are currently in the process in getting new cables laid which will make all the difference. We do have paid wifi, but it is...

I am leaving a review for Damon because he is a nice man and it doesn't matter if he's infertile because it's about his personality and even if he was impotent too my friend would still at least go for Mexican food with him and then just sit and smile until the Mexican food digested and then they could compare...

The hostel is located close to everything you need; tram station, restaurants and bar. The reception staff was very helpful. Dorms were OK, quite warm since there wasn't any air conditioning. Also the garbage truck passes by outside every morning making a lot of noise, so bring earplugs. Kitchen is okay as well, serving free pancakes every morning. Bar had...

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a positive review. Sorry to hear about the garbage truck, we do offer earplugs down at reception. We often talk to the council about this noise and quite often it is better, you may have caught them on a bad day. On the plus side we are delighted to...

Location in the city center, really amazing. Dorms and showers newly equipped, really nice! Staff no helpful nor welcoming, barely trying to figure out who you are or explaining what you need to do. Big big HR probem!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't find the staff helpful, this is not often that we hear such a thing. I wonder if you might be able to give me some more information so that I can talk to the people who you didn't have...

The dorms in this hostel are just bloody terrible. They're too small, overly crowded and unbelievably hot with absolutely no airflow. I honestly do not understand, how the hostel has obtained the high rating, it has, with dorms like these. The best thing about the place were definitely the common areas. The kitchen is big and doubles as an OK...

Thank you for taking the time to review our hostel. We are sorry that you think our rooms are terrible and small. We purposely under fill our rooms by two beds to ensure that they are really spacious. It is very rare that we get bad feedback like this. Other than the rooms, it all sounds positive, great to hear...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
