The staff are always nice to good guests that are following the rules and being respectful of other guests. Yes we are strict on behavior as unfortunately some guests do not respect the other guests or the rules that are in place to make sure everyone gets the best out of the hostel and their time in Perth. If you...

My partner and I booked a 6 bed dorm for 4 nights, Perth was the last stop of our trip around Australia and this hostel was by far the worse we stayed at. Very expensive for what you get, not sure how they can call themselves a resort. Rooms do not seem very clean and are very old, no wifi,...

The Hostel has been renovated with two floors with brand new carpets, bathrooms, curtains, bunks and much more. Considering we are the only backpackers that has private bathrooms in all the dorms, air-conditioning, free parking, swimming pool, beach volleyball court and we are still cheaper than some of our competitors that don't have these facilities we think we are pretty...

After almost 24 hours of a journey from Ireland all I wanted was a roasting hot shower.....well I had a cold one!! Water was actually cold and the shower just had a flimsy curtain up and the water was everywhere afterwards had to stand on my towel to get dressed! I cannot do without a decent shower, for me not...

Sorry. I love a good shower too. It's usually really hot so not sure what was the issue that day. Must have been a plumbing issue. We definetly have hot water thought 24 hours a day.

This is just not true. Before you believe this review come and see for yourself. The Billabong is the best Hostel in Perth. It is the only place that has private bathrooms, balcony and airconditioning in all the rooms, We have an amazing swimming pool and outdoor seating area. Renovations have just been completed witch would make it one of...

Ended up staying in this place for far longer than I hoped as no rooms elsewhere. Stayed in a 6 bed dorm, loved the girls I stayed with but that's pretty much the only good thing about my stay here. Woken up every morning by the cleaner rudely walking in without knocking and vacuuming but yet the rooms were never...

The Billabong has just finished renovations. The pool and outdoor area look amazing. Not to mention the brand new rooms and bathrooms. We are the only hostel in Perth where all rooms have private bathrooms, balcony and airconditioning. We offer free breakfast, free parking, free linen, 24 hour reception, large kitchen, beach volleyball court and much more. This must be...

Staff in hostel were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for me. People staying in the hostel were not so friendly, but most I found seemed to be living there long term- mostly Irish people, not so many backpackers. Hostel doesn't have wifi, but has cheap internet access in reception area, offered a free breakfast - I was never up...

I stayed in the billabong for over five months and stayed in one room which was decent.Although the aircon was broke for two months and we did spend two weeks without water and the only thing they did is when it was fixed was to buy dominos for the guests, but there wasnt any left when most people got downstairs....

Helpful staff with a quirky humorous edge. Lots of people around. A fun social Backpackers place. The location is nice too, close to transport and some bars. Fairly clean too. Maybe wouldn't swim in the pool. But the hangout spot in the backyard and on the first floor is cool.

Booked to stay in the bong in November 2012 for 7 nights, 4 months down the line I was very sad to leave The Bong isn't great, grungey rooms, some pretty unprofessional staff, sketchy kitchen where food is stolen but I wouldn't have changed it for the world. The atmosphere is second to none, met some amazing people and friends...

Whilst travelling I ended up staying/working in Perth for over 7 months, all of which I stayed at the Billabong. I came straight over from the UK and having never been in a hostel before I had no idea what to expect.
