It was lovely to have a proper coffee machine in the room, but I think someone forgot the milk and the frother.I have just read that my review did not go through as it had < 200 whatebers. Crazy. I loved the breakfast also.

Location is fantastic at the Harbour. Unfortunately despite paying top dollar at $500 + per night without breakfast was given a horrid room. Room was small, dark and had zero privacy looking into the inside of the hotel and having apartments and other rooms looking into your room. Insisted with the front desk that without a change we would check... More

Located by the harbour, it's very conveniently located bring just a 5min walk to Sky tower. Rooms are spacious with a rather pointless balcony if you could call it that but nice to get some fresh air in at least. Beds are, as ever with the Sofitel, like sleeping on a cloud. Bathroom with bath and separate shower. Breakfast was... More

The hotel is modern and clean. Very well run from what we experienced. We had a beautiful corner suite overlooking an internal harbor which was quite lovely. The issue I have is that you are looking out at many apartment buildings and they are quite close. We could actually see people having coffee, children playing in their rooms etc. A... More

Arrived here after a torturous long haul flight, and it was sheer heaven. The parking valet was welcoming and friendly. He had a good sense of humor, as we were most "fortunate" to have been allocated a bright pink rental car. I think the rental agency saw us coming. The young man who checked us in was absolutely delightful, and... More

My husband and I stayed at the Sofitel Auckland last month, and we were very impressed with the service levels. We were promptly greeted upon arrival and were able to check in quickly. We asked the concierge for a dinner recommendation for Asian food and he picked a winner: "Mekong Baby". In addition, the front desk staff were extremely friendly... More

Staff friendly, bit of a walk to the city which can be a problem in wet weather. Pool and gym good. Room size ok. Bed comfortable. Very modern. View into office building across the road, no privacy and road works on the street very noisy.

Had reserved and prepaid three nights for a deluxe Harbour view room because of its location at viaduct Harbour, the proximity to the offices in the city and the endless number of restaurants nearby. However, when we arrived coming in from Singapore, upon checking in they first could not find our reservation, then they claimed they found it but it... More

Rooms and public spaces are sparkling clean, service is prompt and courteous, and the wifi works well. The hotel is located within easy walking distance to the marina and energetic nightlife (think restaurants, not clubs). Walk or cab to offices in Central Business District. I am here solo for business, and the Sofitel suits that need. My travel-mates, (a couple)... More
