Auckland is a city that thrives on contrasts. Here, sleek skyscrapers rise beside ancient volcanic cones,  and the vibrant urban energy of the city is tempered by the lapping waters of Waitemata Harbour.

Located in a prime location on Queen Street in the CBD, the Adina Citylife Auckland puts you in the thick of the action.

The hotel is a short stroll to the city’s best restaurants, bars, and attractions like the Sky Tower and bustling waterfront, and a welcome haven after exploring nearby Waiheke Island or Mission Bay.

Two Penthouse Suites offer spectacular views over the city, whilst interconnecting hotel rooms – with spacious lounge, dining and kitchen living – and a saltwater pool and gym, allow the flexibility to holiday with the comforts of home.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of numerous restaurants, the Art Gallery, numerous shops, and the harbor. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Housekeeping kept the rooms very clean. I enjoyed the salt water pool.
The only negative was that the rooms are small. The restaurant is closed.
I would go back.

You can't get more centrally located that CityLIfe. Since it sits on Queen Street, the main thoroughfare through the city, everything from restaurants to the ferry in the harbor is accessible by foot.

This is a high-rise hotel with maybe a dozen rooms per floor. Sadly there isn't much of a view. The rooms themselves are large in our case with a separate bedroom, living room, kitchenette and in-room laundry. Ideal for a long stay.

The front desk was very helpful during our stay but we found the hotel restaurant to be a little pricey and service to be a little slow. Some people would find the location to be a little questionable. For our purposes, our first two nights in Auckland, this hotel was fine.

Location was central to all things in CBD & Sky City. Clean facilities, wonderfully comfy bed, helpful staff. We were upgraded to executive suite w/washer, dryer & kitchen/dining area. The suite had detergent, laundry detergent & soaps as well as coffee/tea fixings. Newspaper delivered to door in morning.
The dryer seemed to not stay on , possibly clogged somewhere after hose (hose & lint trap were clear), but still nice to be able to do wash.
We ate dinner in hotel restaurant and weren’t impressed. Chicken was a bit fatty with skin on it and risotto was grainier than should be and the price wasn’t worth what we got.
Even with the dryer & meal being subpar, would stay again if in the area.

booked one night here as close to theatre (8 mins walk to The Civic) where we were seeing a show.
Always wanted to stay here due to it being smack bang in middle of Queen Street but always been out of my price range.
This time they had a good deal and we booked a twin bed superior room.
When we arrived around 10.30am on Saturday morning, the lovely man at reception told us we could access our room straight away which was an unexpected bonus.
We had a room facing Durham Street, side street off Queen Street, so probably a little quieter than if we were facing Queen St. Didn't get much sun though.
Room was very clean. It turned out to be a connecting room with a 1-bedroom apartment next door as the connecting door had been left open. So we took the opportunity to have a quick explore of that room. Liked what we saw with the lounge/kitchen area and double bedroom so if we were to visit again with more family members now we know they have a 2bedroom apartment which would suit us well.
Back to our room. It was a good size, not very many channels to choose from on TV, but we weren't in the room much. Good sized bathroom with good shower and plenty of towels on heated towel rail.
Unfortunately we had rowdy neighbours who were still talking loudly at 4.45am but that is not hotels fault.
Beds were very comfortable so did manage to sleep.

Would definitely stay here again as within walking distance of so much we come to Auckland for.

The restaurant was closed due to Covid but they had a 15% discount offer at nearby Coffee Club cafe, though we did not have time to take them up on this.

Front office staff were very friendly and we were given a room meeting our special request which we were very grateful for. Our room was clean and well serviced. We used the Zest Restaurant for our breakfast and the service was outstanding and they were very obliging to our requirements.

This hotel is in a great location just a few blocks from the harbor and close to many restaurants. Most of the hotel has been recently remodeled, and our room on the 22nd floor was one of them. The bathroom was quite functional with a glass shower stall and plenty of counter space. There were plenty of electrical outlets for recharging your devices. The only thing about our room (#2201) that could be improved would be the mattress. It felt a bit broken down on my side by the phone such that I almost rolled out of bed a couple times. We ate several meals in their restaurant (both breakfast and lunch) which was quite good. There was a small container of milk in the mini refrigerator which we later found out was complimentary and intended to be used when making coffee or tea in the room.

This hotel is on Queen St which is the main shopping street in Auckland and the airport buses all stop outside the door so no pulling heavy suitcases around the city streets after a long trip.

Rooms and beds were excellent and comfortable but be sure to ask what room you are getting as some floors are still being refurbished. We didn’t use the restaurant/bar as we were always out but it looked lovely.

Room service was prompt and breakfast more than adequate for a full day out. The hotel is less than a 15 min walk from the centre of the business district and the Sky Tower which the photo below shows was close by (taken from our room). Ferries to Waiheke island, Devenport and other areas all leave from the end of Queen Street so again fantastic location.

Staff were probably the most chilled and friendly I’ve ever met but still efficient.

Definitely one I would recommend to friends and family👍

We stayed here at citylife Auckland for 2 parts of our trip. The first few days in Auckland we were in a deluxe suite. We then went down to Rotorua and then upon returning to Auckland, we got upgraded to an executive suite!

Very convenient place to stay, lots of places to walk to. Rooms were nice and there was even a hotel gym (even tho I did not make use of it this time around lol).

Both rooms we had were nice. The executive suite was of course larger but both were a nice size for our family of 3. Both rooms had a washer and drier which was awesome so you don't have to pack as much clothes for your trip. There was even a pack of detergent for 1 load of clothes.

Staff was very friendly and even held our bags day we checked out since our flight was so late at night. They were also able to arrange for a shuttle service to and from the airport. You pay the shuttle driver (it was $45 for 3 of us today). Prices for the hotel were pretty good too, we would definitely stay here again if we were in the Auckland area!

I was given a room on the 22nd floor, with wonderful views that included the harbor and Skytower. I ordered meals several times from the hotel's restaurant and all were delicious. The rooms are very clean and the bed is very comfortable. All hotel staff are friendly and helpful with providing you with any amenities you may need or directions you may need to get around town. The hotel is on Queen Street, which is an ideal location for touring the city. Any tour you go on will you pick you up from the hotel since its centrally located. CityLife is also in walking distance to Skytower, which is a main transportation terminal. I definitely recommend CityLife and plan to stay there the next time I visit.

Yes, there are a couple of car rental companies (Budget and two others) on Beach Road, a short walk from the hotel. I generally pick up the rental car from the airport depot myself, but most of the majors have city dépôts that are fairly close. Thrifty is a short bus-ride away, however. Anne

I took the SkyBus from the hotel to the airport. The stop is right outside the Queen Street entrance to the hotel. It took about 45 minutes because there were quite a few stops before getting out of the CBD. The hotel desk (and another woman waiting for the bus) told me it took cash, but that’s not the case anymore. Credit only. You can also buy your ticket in advance online.
