Stayed here one night before a concert at the civic. Hotel is reasonably central, only about 10-15 mins to walk into the cbd, staff were friendly enough and the view from the room was not too bad either. Only real downside was the room felt unclean and smelt a bit funny.. also there is bare minimum when it comes to...

I do not usually have to write negative reviews but for this hotel I felt it was necessary. We stayed with two children in a family room which was small and did not have enough storage. The bathroom was dated and in urgent need of a refurb. Positive was the shower was good. Staff were helpful but begrudgingly. Location is...

If you are looking for a reasonably priced stay near the center of Auckland this is a good choice. Everything is okay. Our room only had one chair and they staff promptly provided a banquet chair so that at least we both had someplace to sit. Our room overlooked the parking lot so was reasonably quiet. Parking is an issue...

We stayed here for 2 nights in December 2016 prior to a cruise to Sydney. The room was dated but serviceable and the beds were very comfortable. Bathroom is a reasonable size but has no extractor fan. Staff were friendly and helpful - we were granted a later checkout willingly and at no charge. Best tip was from check-in clerk...

As title suggests, very comfy bed, spacious rooms, everything needed in there. Hotel is a little dated, but mainly the corridors and communal spaces. Had breakfast which was limited, expensive, not particularly good value for money and quite average. Would give the breakfast a miss. But the bed was super comfy and that's what matters!

Usually when visiting hotels, they may hold money or take credit card details. This hotel actually deduct $50 off your bank card and will get refunded in between 5-10 working days. The reason they do this, as explained by a manage, was incase we up and left without paying for extras, like food etc. the room was very basic, parking...

The hotel is old and dated. The bathrooms are very old looking. The plumbing in the toilet needs attention as it must have an air pocket in it as it gurgled and burped all the time. I wasn't impressed with the full breakfast as it was buffet style, and did not include mushrooms or tomatoes and only one type of...

On the positive side, you may be able to find a vacant room during peak season (which I did). Yet, the hotel is old and poorly furnished. They charge you for an unstable Wifi. While many people praised its location, it took me more than 20 minutes to walk downhill to Queen street. Also, I don't know why they need...

Booked the hotel based on web profile and pictures. What a mistake. A dated old hotel with poor quality rooms, old carpets. Cramped up rooms. Worst of all, be careful when you give your credit card for the initial deposit. Their systems are very poor and staff have don't care attitude. The took an initial deposit on the card which...

We stayed for one night and were disappointed with the standard of the hotel, especially given the price. Bed was comfortable enough but that's about where the positives end. Tiny shower, tired decor, charged us full price plus an extra $50 at check-in 'just in case'. I asked if that was to cover the minibar, and receptionist said yes. Odd,...
