I stayed her when I arrived in Auckland, I arrived at 2am and I could still check in which was great, very friendly receptionist. Dorms was adequate, had lockers with charging points inside. I never had a problem waiting for showers or toilets, there was a bunch more down the corridor slightly. The hostels kitchen was large and plenty of...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights as our first stop in New Zealand. It was pretty average really. The staff were really quite cold and standoffish. They symbolised the rest of the hostel with their lack of warmth. In saying that, there was one girl that was friendly and professional. The kitchen was mostly well equipped but...

Not very cosy or warmful: narrow corridors, many doors, cold and hard colors and shapes, and more neon than natural light. The showers look like those plastic/neon train- or coach- restrooms and lack equipment to hang your clothes/towels/soap. Our pillows were a bit hard. The whole hostel is quiet enough and the upper floor lounges are not crowded. Our room...

Stayed here twice, once in a double room and the other in a 4 bed dorm. Both rooms were of a fair size and were cleaned to a good standard. Bathrooms also were very clean, and the kitchen was great, very big, clean and well maintained. Location great, just 5 min walk down the hill and you reach the centre....

The YHA in Auckland has everything you need and is well equipped (free Wi-Fi) but for the size of the hostel there appeared to be too few bathrooms. Staff were lovely, the mattress was a bit thin and heavy doors banging at night meant I didn't have that restful a sleep. Overall an OK experience and a clean hostel but...

We stayed here twice, and both times were comfy! The rooms were big and comfy (now they've changed the beds) with lockers that had charging points inside! The kitchen was big, clean and well stocked making cooking nice and easy! The location is great just off queen street but only a 10 minute walk to the downtown harbour! The only...

It's well placed - an uphill climb about 15 minutes from the CBD. If you're on the Skybus, go uphill for about 10 minutes. It's on a slope, so there was a lot of good exercise getting there and back. :) Lots of Korean and Chinese eateries nearby, with a small Asian supermarket across the street but lots of restaurants...

The kitchen is well equipped, and the bathrooms are clean, even if there could be more of them. Rooms have lockers with power points in them too, which is good. However, this is probably the worst YHA I have stayed in, either in NZ or Australia. I stayed here at the beginning and end of 2 months in NZ, and...

Nice place to stay - friendly stuff :) It is near the city center (5min). It is clean and they have enough space so you can also be for your own (if you want to of course ;-) ) for people travelling alone and do not need to have luxurios rooms, I totally recommend it!
